this is from the newsroom:

"The University of Colorado Athletic Department is offering fans the opportunity to select three games for the upcoming 2007 Colorado Football season with the U Pick ‘Em Three Pack for $170.**Buff fans will pick a total of three games to attend.* Customers can select two "Gold" games, picking from Florida State, Oklahoma and Nebraska.* They then select one "Silver" game from Miami (Ohio), Kansas and Missouri."

i totally love this particular setup with 2 marquee programs and 1 warm up act. how cool is that?

 waylon, if we can agree, if has to be an idea that absolutely ROCKS! the price point is really affordable. i think in the future, i will be buying a set of these for my younger bro, who is shortly returning home from the east coast.

he would love it.

And if you want to support the program, but can't make some or all of the games, still buy the 3-pack. Turn in the unused back to the athletic department for them to allocate as part of their community outreach. They'll find kids in hospitals and things like that who can use your tickets. It's an other cool idea that Bohn and crew have adopted.

i hope they do the three pack for some time to come. once my b12 tour is over, i would use it to come home 3x a year.

this is the first year that the 3 pack was an absolute pickem, isn't it? as i recall they had defined sets before.

Season ticket sales are actually up per the AD, however, that still doesn't fill the stadium. I think this is an effort to get the casual fan to the games.

i think this is a short lived strategy to fill the stadium. i love the idea. but with success, this will die.

Mizzou isn't a bad 'silver game' option -
the Tigers have a legit shot to take the north...

It is a great strategy to get some locals who might not want to buy the entire season to come up and get a sample of a great college experience. I am pretty sure that we will have a program in place like the 3 pack for several years. At least CU is providing options to entice people to come up and get a taste. Once they taste it, maybe they will want more.

Finally some smart marketing of the program!

IMO as an outsider here...... ANY effort to pack the house for EVERY game should be applauded and supported. CU needs a fan base larger than their stadium to generate demand for their product. IMO the thing that hurts their attendance is the fact fans feel they can wait until game day to decide if they want to go, that leads to many fans taking a wait and see attitude and only going while CU is playing well or for a big game.... I do not see how anybody friend or foe alike could view this as nothing but a positive. The only downside as I see it is it becomes easier for opposing team fans to purchase a package to get in to CU's home turf to cheer their teams.

This is perfect for an out of stater like me. I don't want to buy season tix because I can only make 2 or 3 (at the most) trips a year. With this plan I get to support the program & pick games that I want that will also fit my schedule. Plus the fact that I'm locked into three games gives me extra incentive to make more the trips to Boulder (I haven't been in a loooong time) instead of just the odd occasional game. That means I bring more of my California dollars to spend in Boulder. Everybody wins!!
This is genius!!!

I also hope that any :rip: cornholio :rip: single game tix are required to buy a 3 pack.

My only issue with the three-pack is that it kills the family pack they had the last two years. No family pack = no mrs sackman and f-i-l at games this year. :sad1:
