Starting with Gabe York, I'm going to start building the 2012 CU prospect profile database. We have a number of offers out already.

As has been mentioned in other threads, CU is expected to have 4 scholarship openings in the 2012 class.

Graduating seniors: Carlon Brown, Austin Dufault, Trey Eckloff, Nate Tomlinson

Would love to get everyone's thoughts on this format for the Index.

I am going to start working on editing the Football Index and wanted to get feedback before I did.

I like it nik. Good way too keep things organized. I'm a fan of spreadsheets as long as they are easy to read and this one is. Maybe another column for interest levels or scholarships? Is there enough width to add?

in the forum I used to follow they used a lInked google docs spreadsheet. really liked that FWIW.

Maybe have a notes column on the side for things like ESPN U100 or Rivals 150.

That's a good idea and I wanted to do that. Would have been nice to say things like if CU was in a Top 5, if there was an Official or Unofficial Visit planned or made, etc. Unfortunately, there isn't room for that without messing up the framing. We'll have to keep that stuff just in the actual profiles that are linked from the index.

Welcome to the site. Always nice to see someone making their first post in a hoops forum. We're really seeing growth in CU hoops these days.

If you are using EXCEL start at the home tab, click on format cells, then when the menu comes up go to the boarders tab ... there will be a style box there for you to change the weight

Ya , it's easy in excel. Not so easy with allbuffs version

It's embedded programming in the vBulletin system we're using. New upgrade (accessed by choosing "Go Advanced" instead of "Post Quick Reply" when you're posting). If I do an Excel or Word table and paste it here, it would show up as a small table that you wouldn't be able to read. Then, you'd have to click on it to open it and I don't think the linking would work. That's why I never did tables on this site before now. Hopefully vBulletin will see that the new tables feature is popular and they'll work on some advances for the next round of upgrades.

At the risk of causing more trouble than I'm worth, what about listing the players in alphabetical order instead of by position? Position is kind of subjective and with CU becoming more and more active in recruiting, it might make things a little easier to look over.

I don't mind. I considered it both ways. If some more people weigh in that they'd like to see it strictly alphabetical, I'll change it.

While I was at it, I edited Wes Gordon's info so that he's now listed as a Power Forward.

Tanner Sampson of Denver (CO) Regis Jesuit seeing Pepperdine this weekend and then to decide between Pepperdine, Denver, Elon and Montana.

I think this is the third time I've thought about starting a Sampson thread, but there's just not a lot of info out there on him, and he's not a CU target, so I'm just going to post it here and wish him the best of luck.

Everyone's profile has been updated. No dramatic changes, but a few minor shifts. Anyone worried about Boyle & Co.'s ability to judge talent just needs to look at all of the 4 & 5* players we were in on early.

According to ESPN's top uncommitted player review (http://insider.espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/basketball/mens/story/_/id/7608132/top-uncommitted-prospects-2012-class), we're listed as a possibility for Charles Mitchell, a center from Georgia.

Recruiting update: Mitchell hasn't taken any officials as of yet, but he has checked out Georgia, Seton Hall and Tennessee unofficially. His recruitment is wide open.

4* (#12 C, #76 overall) on Rivals (http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Charles-Mitchell-88160), 3* on Scout (http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=4008445) (#27 C) & ESPN (http://insider.espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/evaluation/_/id/76205/charles-mitchell) (#23 C). However, we're not listed on any of his pages, so I don't know if it was a mistake by ESPN to list us or not. Honestly, I'd be pumped. He's undersized, but he's TOUGH. Very competitive. Struggles with conditioning though apparently. Not going to create a profile page until I get some sort of confirmation on CU going after him.

Recruit Scoop (https://twitter.com/#!/TheRecruitScoop/status/177762753358999552):

Utah saw 2012 PF Kahlil Johnson of Price (CA) yesterday. Colorado, Arizona State, Duquesne, Montana State & San Jose State are on him.

No listed offer, and I'm lazy, so no profile yet.

According to ESPN's top uncommitted player review (http://insider.espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/basketball/mens/story/_/id/7608132/top-uncommitted-prospects-2012-class), we're listed as a possibility for Charles Mitchell, a center from Georgia.

And he committed to Maryland today.

2012 SG Torian Graham remains open but is hearing the most from NC State, L'ville , Memphis, Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Xavier & Baylor

Graham is a 4* SG. He's a top 100 player on all of the sites, with Rivals having him as the #51 recruit in the nation. He's committed to NC State twice only to decommit both times, so they're still the favorite for him. Can't find a confirmed offer from us on the sites, so no profile. Yet.

Stop teasing us Goose! This is the kind of talent that could make us a top-25 team next year!

Coach A working his old NCSU recruiting connections?

Coach A working his old NCSU recruiting connections?

That was my first thought.

Reading his ESPN report is impressive. Sounds like he's an elite athlete who's becoming an elite scorer as well. The biggest knocks are that he has a hitch that occasionally shows up in his shot, he has a tendency to play a little too fast at times and his maturity level (which is evident by his committing and de-committing twice now). So you would wonder why NC State would be continuing to go after a guy who has spurned them twice. Well...

This is a high-major player who has the capability to be a primary scorer for a Top 25 team. One of the best talents in his class at his position.

Once again, I have yet to see anything other than the Scout Focus tweet mentioning us in regard to him, so I would put the chances at less than 1%, but we're being mentioned. Which is something.
