Versatile defender who was one of the top players in the Inland Empire as a junior. He is an early USC lean.

(http://buffscoop.com/forum/showthread.php?p=133470#post133470)Mid year transfer. AZ claims we got a shot. This appears like it is gonna move quick, but things have just started. There are a whole bunch of schools sniffing around, including some big boys.
The D-end was born and raised in California but admits he would be open to leaving the state for college. "It really doesn't matter to me. I think my parents might prefer if I stay close but I think they are still pretty open."
He plans to attend junior days at USC and UCLA, for sure. Fitts may also take in a junior day at Cal.
There have only been a couple schools thus far he has spoken with. "I have talked to UCLA and Washington a little bit. That is pretty much it."
Also, updated his height and weight. Which may be a mistake, because it appears that was self reported to AZ. But given that it is certainly newer than the Rivals info, going with that.

Strong USC lean (he may say USC/UCLA are even, but the general feeling is the Trojans will land him)

Washington is the only place that he has already visited, so there is some history there. We will see where he takes his remaining visits.

If he wants to be an EE he better decide soon

Washington is on Quarter System, so he can still enroll for Spring. Will help compared to Schools on Semester system.

UW has had a pretty nice pipeline into REV for quite awhile now.
USC is falling apart, they should've fired Kiffen after the season. This will be their 2010 Hawk year.

And probably still land a top 25 class.

Probably? They'll sign a top 10 class at worst.

I meant on the field, their recruiting will always be just fine. Half of their class is still 5*s.

The issue is not USC's recruiting, but rather they have allowed several other schools (Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, Washington) to close the talent gap. For example, losing Fitts to Washington would almost be losing twice.

Kiffen hasn't missed on the guys he has wanted.
The talent gap closing has much more to do with evaluation and development imo. Haden is nuts to give him another year. Now they are losing recruiting battles.

CMIIW, but didn't he essentially give this kid up due to numbers? I don't see how Kiffen "lost" him.

USC fan's excuse:
Before espn puts its negative spin on it and make the story put USC in a negative light, here is what happened. A senior who was supposed to graduate in December did not and his scholarship was put on hold. Kylie was supposed to be an EE. It looks like the schollie was pulled but its not. Kylie has said he could still end up at SC but is looking at other potential schools where he could EE at.

UCLA has two star recruiters. Martin and Klemm are credited with 7-4* each. Do you think we have recruiters like that on our staff? I will be patient while MacIntyre turns the program back around, but at some point we are going to need to recruit the top athletes to compete with the top programs.
