• A really ****** preview of CU vs Arizona

This Saturday at Folsom (12:30 kickoff - Senior Day), the Buffs host Arizona. So let's take a completely biased, shoddily researched and moderately sober look at the Wildcats.

The first thing you need to know is that we may not see a single UofA fan at this game unless they happen to live in town. Basketball season has started, their football team sucks, and they've tuned out.

The next thing you need to know is that they have a major inferiority complex to Arizona State. They rank lower as a party school. Tucson is to Phoenix/Tempe as Colorado Springs is to Denver/Boulder. Their coeds aren't nearly as hot. They don't have the success in any sport that ASU does... except basketball. And that's why they focus so much on hoops.

Speaking of coeds, I thought that a "Coed of the Week" would be a nice addition to the ****** preview, so here goes:

I'd also like to take this moment to give a shout out to http://coedmagazine.com -- a very fine online magazine focused on higher education.

While I'm on the subject of UofA hotties, no blog would be complete without a tribute to everyone's favorite golfer Natalie Gulbis.

    Such talent.

Now onto this week's game. Arizona fired its head coach, Mike Stoops, mid-season. Not that he hadn't done well there. It was that fans turned on him. After giving them hope for a few years that he was building a decent program, Arizona football went back to being Arizona football at the same time that ASU was busting out with a good season. The inferiority complex reared its ugly head and Stoops was run out of town.

Of course, the writing was on the wall. Greg Brown and Mike Tuiaosopo knew it was a train wreck waiting to happen and skipped town for the bright future in Boulder after last season.

That's enough of that, though. What's the point of talking smack? This is a program we've beaten 12 out of 13 times we have played it. Hell, no one from Arizona will even see this unless they stumble upon it by accident while looking for basketball info.

Soldiering on, I tried hard to find a UofA fan for this week's blog. I was hoping to talk football with one of their big fans. It was a struggle, though.

Some weren't very friendly and told me to go **** myself.

Some were a little too friendly and wanted to use me until I got lockjaw.

These guys called me "Chancho" and told me that if I was a man I'd wear stretchy pants for fun.

But the worst was when some drunk old dude started started singing in German to me.

So, without an opposing viewpoint, I am forced to sail alone.

    Arizona: Sucks

Buffs ride the senior day emotions to a blowout home win over the dregs of the Pac-12 South. In the process, we send a message to the Weasel that we're going to end him next week.

    CU - 34
    UA - 17

It's weird how here, in Colorado, the "S" denotes suckiness, yet in AZ it means "better than"? The world's a crazy place. Nice work 'Nik!

If Pete Thomas were an actor, he'd be The Hasselhoff. The cameo in the Spongebob Squarepants motion picture is at the penical of Hollywood film making. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzHoV...e_gdata_player Forecast: no matter the outcome, Arizona is blown away in Boulder. As always, nik does a ****** job.
