BOULDER - The University of Colorado women's tennis team returned back to Boulder for the first time since January 23, recording their sixth victory of the spring season against the University of Denver, 6-1 here at the Millennium Harvest House indoor courts.
Colorado, coming off two straight 7-0 match victories improved to 6-3 on the season. CU now leads the all-time series their in-state rival, 28-6.
The Buffaloes started the match strong taking both matches to win the doubles point. Senior teammates Melisa Esposito and Camila Belassi, the No. 51st ranked doubles team in the nation, won in convincing fashion, 8-4. With the doubles victory, Esposito moves to fourth all-time in CU history for doubles wins, reaching 70 victories.
