Saw this on AZ's a couple days ago and just saw the CU offer listed in the Rivals database.

Borne is a very nice DT prospect for us and another target for raiding an Arizona class that looks to be coming apart.

Rivals shows Kanavis McGhee recruiting him for us. I guess he is working that area in tandem with EB.

Everybody is a longshot to you aren't they?

syko's been good this year. I was afraid he was going to have an aneurism last year when we didn't sign any DTs after only brining in Poston and that Canadian rugby player the year before. Cut him some slack, my friend. :smile2:

Yes, you were a longshot .....

Unlike you, I try reality. You bash seniors and back 5 different teams yet get your panties in a bunch when another buff fan doesn't think every player is coming here.

Sorry folks, back on topic. Would be nice to get the louisiana pipeline going again.

Keep it up.....The early signings of solis and Henny have made this a melo recruiting season...so far

Well I said that because out of the kids you said were longshots both have us in their finalist group.

Commits are awesome, but I find it tough to get excited over 50/50 recruits. If they land a few then it will amp up.

I get what you're saying but these aren't longshots.

Don't know of many teams that have failed for having an excess of quality DTs. The old saying that if you have two QBs you don't have any is exactly opposite for DT's. If you don't have a number of them you don't have any, they get worn down and teams can focus on taking them out of play.

With our current DL situation, even with the other commits we have this kid could honestly expect to play significant time four years here.

As of right now we seem to have a solid group of DT possibilities (Iduoze, Borne, Rasmussen). Anyone think we take 4?

Embree said he will take as many quality d-linemen as he can fit in this class. If there's a way to do it, I think he'd take 8 DLs with most of them being DTs or SDEs to fit the 3-4.

Need 3 guys who are agile and 290 above on the line with the nt in the 305-325 range.

Glad he thinks this. Excess d-lineman can always be moved over to the offensive line.
