Nobriga and Olatoye not returning next season

Nobriga is a loss. Olatoye would be a solid ST's player... so these "losses" do matter.

Nothing against these two guys in particular, and I hope they succeed elsewhere, but am I the only one that thinks a little attrition is a good thing? Now, don't get me wrong, I totally understand how thin we are at pretty much every position, and how badly we need warm bodies, but the talk from the current staff has been about bringing the fire and intensity back to the program, so you would think a few people leaving is a sign that they're really implementing it regardless of the short-term effect.

Also, what did either of them contribute as far as making a play for us this season?

You're edgier than usual. (about players)

In general. But, yes. I'm really pissed off about how they talked big last week and then played like they did at UCLA. I want Embree to clean house. I'd rather go into next season with a 70-man roster of guys who don't accept getting pushed around like a bunch of little bitches (and recruit a full 2013 class) than be at 85 with a bunch of dead weight. NFL roster's 53 for a 16 game season. You don't need 85 to play a college season.

Yup. We just proved it. Remember how well that worked against Oregon? ( I still agree with ya)

Amen-

Kinda was hoping Nobriga would turn it around, thought he might be decent when we signed him. Bummer.

I'm sure this is just the start, more to follow..

Expect more attrition. Right now we have 30 schollies availabe. Don't be shocked if there are about 33-35 scholarships available for the 2012 signing class, 14 commits so far.

This sounds good for the staff. I just hope they are able to get some JUCOs and trasfers in here to even out the team for the next year or two. We are lacking pretty bad in Jrs and Sophs right now right?

Yep, time to get the cleaning complete. The sooner it happens, the sooner we get on the road to being better. Embo either does it his way or he fails trying. I want to find out sooner rather than later if he can get it done. **** it I am tired of loosing and at least he is trying to change things.

Well, to be fair a college team can't grab guys off of waivers mid-season when there are injuries, but I have no disagreements with your overall point.
