Bama gave up a bunch of points to Georgia Southern (I think). Clearly somewhat inferior on D.

Arky vs UGA for the "SEC Championship" and LSU-Bama for the National Championship and be done with it. Nobody else even comes close to those two teams this year.

Oregon would have a shot at Bama, and would fare better against LSU a 2nd time, I think. Bama gave up 21 to who, Georgia Southern?

USC would give either a good game, too. They're playing well both ways. And what is this idea of yours, anyway? The SEC is on the way to the MNC, not a separate entity.

This is a joke, right? The most points this defense has given up aside from Georgia Southern was 14 to a high-powered Arkansas team and 14 to Auburn, 7 of which for the Tigers came on a defensive TD. To judge the Bama defense on a game in which Bama treated as nothing more than a glorified scrimmage is something even the best SEC haters couldn't dream up.

Yeah, and the most LSU gave up all year was 17 to Arkansas - no relative D failure like Bama had with GS. Thanks for helping prove my point. No Bama hater here, just stating the obvious.

USC would probably give LSU the best game based on how everyone is playing right now.

I'd like to see Virginia Tech get a crack at it if they're able to make up for their only loss by beating Clemson soundly in the ACC Championship.

After them, Okie Lite if they beat Okie.

I really don't like the idea of a rematch for the national championship.
