Craig James' AP Top 25 Vote - He's even dumber than we thought

Craig James has a room temperature IQ. He played running back in the days before we knew how harmfull concussions are. Someone needs to sit him down in a dark shed prior to the final BCS voting.

Until Boise starts playing a legit schedule, this kind of $&it is going to happen. James is wrong, but I don't know if they really belong in the Top 10. If they win a BCS bowl against an Oregon or Okie State they do. To be flat out honest, there are probably 25 teams who could do what they did with their schedule. Put them in the PAC 12, and they would have at least 2 losses. Number 11 or 10 sounds right to me. Since when are TCU and Georgia elite teams? Let's see what LSU does to Georgia this weekend?

If Boise State were his only error here, you would have a great post..... The writer's other arguments are more supportive of James' stupidity claim.

I'm always amazed at how stupid Craig James is, and why ESPN continues to keep him around. I just don't understand..

I think USC, Oregon, and Stanford would be 12 - 0 with Boise's schedule.

I get why Buff fans may not love Boise State after the deb-Hawkle, but as someone who lives here, they're a damn good team.
Their schedule isn't tough, yeah, but they've tried to do something about it by joining the MWC. What are they supposed to do? Can't just say "hey Pac-12, we want in. Take us. Thanks!" Why even have non-BCS schools then?
They beat Georgia in Atlanta by two touchdowns. First game, whatever, but it was BSU's first game, too.
Sure, have qualms with them being No. 7, but 24th is just dumb. Based on the NCAA site (http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/2011/Internet/toughest schedule/fbs_9games_cumm.pdf), BSU has the 36th toughest schedule...yeah, they play UNM next, but its tougher than Arkansas right now, tougher than Stanford, much tougher than Houston.
Oh, and Petersen's not going to UCLA. He likes it here, he's going to win a lot here even without Moore/Martin. He turned down Stanford in January, and everyone else before that.

I think Kansas State would be 12 - 0 with Boise's schedule.

I doubt that KjSU beats Georgia, and TCU is iffy. More to the point, I think KjSU gets thumped in Boise and would have a hell of a fight on their hands in Manhattan.

Tougher than Houston, yes. No way is their schedule toguher than Arkansas.

Craig james is a douche and has no business calling games on espn. Hate his accent, his arrogant way and anything else I missed.

Craig James does not exactly have a high football IQ. Nor a high IQ for that matter....

I have no problem with BSU being outside of the top 10. I don't think they are a top 10 team. Top 25 yes, Top 10 no. Top 15-20, maybe. Their schedule isn't half as tough as any BCS school, and they would probably finish in the middle of the Pac.

They have a great coach, well-coached athletes, and can beat anybody on any given day. But they would probably fare about as well as Utah did in the Pac this year...

When you're playing tough teams week in and week out, you get beat up. You don't win consistently in a BCS conference without your backups having significant playing time.... BSU has never had a tough schedule and unless it does it won't be an elite team. They have never had a team capable of winning an SEC, Big XII, Big X or Pac title....

Saw a tweet by a CBS writer I think; said BSU has the #36 toughest schedule and Arky has # 37.

Edit: it was Chris Dufresne from the LA Times:

"Craig James has Ark No. 3 and Boise No. 24. NCAA toughest sked ranks this week has Boise No. 36. BODY OF WORK! SEE AMERICA?! Ark is 37"

Craig James and Robert Smith are the most unqualified people in their positions on ESPN.

That's a total crock of $h!T, Arkansas played both LSU and Bama. Boise hasn't played anybody even close to those teams. I can't wait for the BCS - I hope Boise draws Oregon or another very good team. Boise is a good team, but they are not a great team, and nowhere close to Bama or LSU.

That "strength of schedule" is based on the total records of the teams each team played. It assumes that a 7-4 team in the MWC is the same as a 7-4 team in the $EC. In other words, it's a worthless ranking...
