He announced that Boise State was his favorite in February and then committed to them on March 1st. Since then, the other offers have been rolling in from the Pac-12. The Buffs are the latest. Although he says that he's solid in his commitment now, there are still over 8 months before National Signing Day. This is one to watch.

Colorado has offered Elk Grove (Calif.) Cosumnes Oaks cornerback Marcus Rios, but he remains solid on his commitment to Boise State...

Is it me or are we after way more prospects that Boise is also after than during the Hawk era? Hawk and Peterson maybe had some kind of agreement to not recruit against each other?

I think it's more like Peterson has pulled Boise up to the level where they can now recruit against CU, after Hawkins' debacle.

Probably true, just seems we're after guys that also have Boise offers a lot more this year + last month and a half of last recruiting cycle. Seemed like we rarely were ever after guys during Hawk years that Boise was also after.

Either way, conspiracy theory over. Hopefully this guy wants to make sure he's making the right decision and takes some visits.

??? Conspiracy theories are never over - they only morph. I think Hawkins conspired to not recruit the same guys to help Boise State. He was clearly never comfortable in the black and gold, so maybe orange and blue have been his true colors all along.

As successful as Boise State has been, they're still a mid-major in recruiting. It's unusual that they are able to sign a 3* player. The norm is 2* guys. They don't recruit as well as TCU or Utah did or BYU or UCF or even Fresno State.

Going to take all 5 official visits, but says he wants to visit Boise State, UCLA, USC, Washington, and Oregon State. Assuming USC doesn't offer, maybe we can get in there for an OV. Scout also bumped him up to a 4* #15 CB.

Now Huffman says Rios has shut down his recruitment.. Argh. I guess we weren't in his top 5 anyways. Shouldnt be losing kids to Boise St.

Bob has a point, our coaches have a knack for turning RBs and WRs into CBs, so there might be a causal link here. Something to keep an eye on.

I really like this player.

I'm thinking he's more of a safety than corner, though.

I bow to your superior knowledge gents. And yes, Boulder > Lincoln. Also, sun rises in east.
