No typo

Wow, curve ball

(Disclaimer: I am aware of the coaching carousel thread, but a name like Weis going to a basketball school warrants its own thread IMO)

The guy is a good coach I guess but Ive never understood all the hoopla over him. Maybe he does well somewhere like Kansas.

I don't even thing he's a good offensive coordinator. He was in New England, but so was McHoodie.... Weis' teams haven't done anything since. Florida was awful this year and I think they would fire him after next year. Wow.

Mangino, then Weis, after Weis they should hire Friedgen for the all you can eat trifecta...somewhere the Furr's Cafeteria manager in Lawrence has gone into hiding....

Just when the all you can eat buffets in Lawrence were starting to recover...

I guess Jayhawk thinks this hire will ensure that they don't get left out of any conference re-alignment talks.

Reports are that this hire was made under pressure from a major booster. Apparently, the guy owns a chain of buffet style restaurants in the greater Kansas City area.

CW flopped at ND with solid talent. Flopped as an OC at UF with solid talent, why in the world would you think he is going to succeed at KU with marginal or sub-marginal talent? I doubt KU had many other options, it sounds like they had to settle for just about any "name" they could get.

The Big 12-2-1-1+1 should be thrilled they can recycle all the Mangino girth related jokes.

That's not good news for Muschamp, but I didn't think he would last long at Florida anyway. Look for him to get canned maybe as early as next season.

Very surprising hire. Isn't he still getting paid by ND? If I recall, he had something like a 10 year contract that he signed after coaching 5 games.

Can't say that I really care about what happens at KU, but it might prove entertaining just the same.

This is a huge hire for them. I can't believe they were able to pull such a big name. Their athletic department is becoming well rounded.
