Dont know if u guys saw it but they had a brawl with about 9 seconds left in the game. Dude from Xavier got sucker punched and looked like Wally has recently from his boxing matches, jk Wally lol. In seriousness, the dude from Cincy shouldnt get a 10 game suspension like Gottlieb suggested. His ass should get bounced from the team and his scholly yanked. The dude he punched wasnt even doing anything but trying to break it up, looked like anyway. It was stupid and a coward move. They'll just suspend him but he should get worse. No way does he deserve to continue getting his school paid for with a move like that, senior or not.

Yeah man it was one of the uglier Ive seen and the Xavier kids postgame was ****ing retarded. Id tack on a few games for them two just for being ****ing stupid.

yeah wtf was that? there are rivalry games every year and none of them end in full out brawls.

It shouldnt have got to that point, the officials did a poor job if u ask me. I watched quite a bit of it and it was testy throughout.

Does LaGarette Blount have a half brother at Cincy? What a weak move...sucker punches are for pussies.

Knew that these two schools hated each other, and Cinci has always been thuggish (KMart's alma mater, after all) but this pussy move is a new low. Dude needs to at least be suspended for the rest of the season

Yep it was a bitch move, even worse than Blount's if u ask me. Think at least that Boise guy was looking at him and kinda taunting him if I recall. Xavier guy never saw it coming.

I think there should be suspensions, but they shouldn't kick anyone off the team. Yes, it was bad. But these are 18-20 year old kids that got caught up in a headed argument. End ended relatively quickly, problem is it was caught on national TV. Suspensions, i vote yes, expulsions, no. They at least deserve a second chance and to learn from this.

The post game comments Xavier made:wtf:. If I was the Xavier coach, I sure wouldn't have had my players out there acting all tough.

I thought the Cin. Coach gave a great response; however, he will have to back it up with actions.

Anybody else see #13 (Chiekh Mbodi) come off the bench and stomp (or at least attempt to) Frease. I wonder if that's what opened up the cut...either way that dude deserves a longer suspension than Gates. I know I'm splitting hairs but a sucker punch is better in my book than a stomp when somebody is lying defenseless on the ground.

Props to the Cinci coach for what he said post-game. If he follows thru, then even more props

What did you expect the officials to do? Call the game with 10 seconds left?
Lol yeah and they did with 9.5 left I think. Im talking about T's during the game before it escalated. Word is, the officials warned some Xavier player at halftime to cool it. This was all game problem and actually even before it started thanks to someone popping off on twitter. Low and behold, the Xavier player that was warned was right in the middle of it. Actually getting into it with folks on the Cincy bench before the fight started. It wasnt hard to see where this was going, again, I actually watched most of the game.

It doesn't get to that point if the officials have control of the game.

Yep and they had everything but control of it. I didnt think a full out brawl would happen but you could see something bad was. Thats why I kept watching it really, Xavier beat them like they stole something.

Is there video or transcripts of these comments?

Looking at the video on the internet and reading the stuff in the Cincinnati media this morning it looks like for practical purposes this season should be over for both teams. Not from a standpoint on not playing games but from a standpoint of multiple players being out of uniform and potentially out of a scholarship. From the Cinci side obviously the kid who threw the punches, Yancy Gates (he threw another one after hitting Frease at another player) as well as the kid who tried to stop Frease when he was down, Cheikh Mbodj should be done, period. Other players from Cincinnati who participated in both the violence and building up to in need to be out for a while as well.

On the Xavier side both Holloway and Wells who are their key players need to be given a nice long break to see if they can figure out that being "gangsta's" isn't what their schollies are all about. Even after the game they continued to run their mouths and put on the tough guy act. If you are good, show it on the floor, not with your mouth.

From the looks of things Cincinnati is going to be willing to take the steps to get this under control. It looks like Coach Mick Cronin has this in the right perspective and is going to handle it the way it should be. If Xavier doesn't then their league should. College sports doesn't need a bunch of wanna be thugs ruining the game.

There was no need for the Cincy players to speak, their coach spoke loud and clear. I think if it was up to just him, a few guys would be done. He nailed it in his post game.
