But, then again, Stanley is a rare talent. And not just in football. In addition to basketball, he also started as a sophomore at middle blocker for the Gorman volleyball team.

Gorman football coach Tony Sanchez calls Stanley one of the best-kept secrets in the West. Stanley is one of four returning offensive linemen starters for Gorman, which plays Hamilton at 7 p.m. in the Sollenberger Classic at Northern Arizona.

Stanley has always been tall for his age — he was 5-foot-10 in the fifth grade.

“The thing about Ronnie is he is just a superior athlete,” Sanchez said. “There aren’t many guys who can take it to the hole, or pull up and hit a jump shot in basketball, or play volleyball, like he does.”

Hopefully we start seeing some dividends from all the work CU has put in developing relationships with the coaches at Bishop Gorman. Every year that high school puts out a couple guys who could play here. And Stanley looks like he's going to be a special player at LT.

He will be one of the most sought after OTs in the West. Great prospect from a great program.

I'm surprised that the new staff hasn't offered Stanley. Doesn't look like we're recruiting Nevada very hard at this point.

They're in great position with Kyle Murphy and good position with Zach Banner as well.

Good thing they don't have much room. OL dominos should start falling in the west once Troy picks its 3 or 4 for this cycle (Oregon, too).

He narrowed his list down to 12 schools, but USC is still the likely destination in the end.

We never recruited this guy or anyone from Las Vegas. I wonder if the Nobriga situation has anything to do with that, given he's a Bishop-Gorman guy if I recall correctly.......
