The SEC just took off the wedding dress, lit a smoke and told A&M about her 3 Ukranian brothers coming to live with them.

SEC schedule out. By season's end, they gonna be able to thread a Star Destroyer through Aggy's ass.

I think they'd be playing most of those teams anyway. From what I can gather, the only team from the SEC East they have to play is Florida, and Florida is sucking pretty bad these days (in comparison to what they've been, anyhow). Plus, they get the Gators at home.

What did they expect? The SEC is a tough conference.

+1. Looks about right to me. Of course the tweets are hilarious and pretty much spot on. Aggie is about to embark on a long nasty stay at Shawshank...er SEC as the new fish, and the sisters think Aggie is awfully purdy.

Somehow I think the aggies will regret their move to the SEC down the road. Not necessarily just because of a rough schedule.

I still think it's a good move for them. People in Texas can now effectively root for both UT and A&M since they don't affect each other. This helps give A&M their own identity, something they have been craving for 100 years.

A&M already has an identity. It just sucks. I don't think changing perennial underachiever to perennial loser is gonna help

If they can help get rid of the "little brother" mentality, they wont care whether they win or lose. They're just happy to be the only texas team in the conference.

But I agree they they will get smoked for a few years.

Huh? Those two fanbases HATE each other. No one is going to cheer for both of them now just because they're in separate conferences.

I can't tell you how many ATM fans I met at the 2001 CCG who were cheering for the UTerus. I asked several if they hated UTerus so much how could they possibly cheer for them? All replied that they did hate them, but the state of Texass comes first. I was dumbfounded.

Agree with Greg. A&M will struggle that's a given, but if they ever want to create their own identity this is about the only way to do it. UT is better in every facet whether it be academics, athletics, endowment or overall value. No matter what Aggy does, Texas will come along and do it bigger and better. The godzillatron comes to mind as a recent example. This is probably the only way that A&M can get some kind of an edge or one up on Texas and market that they play in the premier football conference in college sports. Texas would fare much better in the SEC than A&M but Texas doesn't have the balls to go even though most longhorn fans would never admit it. They could still keep their longhorn network if they went. The problem is they don't want to go 7-5 or 8-4 2 out of every 3 or 4 years. They would rather play one tough game a year in OU and fill out the rest of the schedule with middle of the road teams they can out recruit.

I agree and atm will recruit some really good talent that has been going to all the other texas schools in the past - they will do just fine in the sec, just give them a couple of years

An eight game conference schedule in a 14 team league is plain retarded. With one paired rival, you will only see some teams in your conference every 5 years or so.

Florida, Ole Miss and MIss State are pretty weak. Missouri is a little better than aggy. Auburn isn't that great without Cam. Is it really that bad?

They also get LSU at home. A&M and MU will do fine in the SEC. They won't win the championship, but they will have winning seasons, go to a rep bowl game, and make tons more money, plus they don't have to keep their nose up Texas ass anymore, like they rest of the Big 12 which is going down as a conference.

aTm got one hell of a schedule! But look at Mizzou..... here is their schedule
Sept. 8: GEORGIA
Sept. 22: at South Carolina
Oct. 6: VANDERBILT
Oct. 13: ALABAMA
Oct. 27: KENTUCKY
Nov. 3: at Florida
Nov. 10: at Tennessee
Nov. 24: at Texas A&M

Tenn, vandy, kentucky def winnable games. UF and aTm are winnable games at least for next year. Really the only tough games are at South Carolina, Bama. Considering the schedule they could have had (see aTm schedule lol) they got off really easy and maybe able to pull off a 8 win season in the SEC which I thought would not happen for some time. Guess the scheduling gods smiled on them this time.

I'd be willing to bet that in the next 3-5 years we see an increase from 12 to 14 game regular seasons. It'll be the big conferences pushing for it, and the NCAA won't have a choice but to agree. This deal with the Big 10/Pac 12 is going to have the same effect.

Way to many $$ involved not to happen if the conferences ask for it, and they will.

Then the big schools may try to use the extra games to justify an increase in the scholarship limit as well.

Another step in the separation of the major conferences/schools from the mid-majors.

Absolutely. I think this is what guys like Larry Scott have in mind. We started down this road a long time ago, it's just becoming more clear where the road leads.

With a 14-game season, the Pac 12 can have every team play every other team plus get three non conference games a year. Or keep it at 9 and play two games against the Big 10, plus 3 other non-conference games. The SEC can play a more reasonable conference schedule of 10 or 11 games, too. Not only that, but the school presidents will sign off on it because it means at least one extra home game a year.

Kind of like how they were supposed to finish in the top 10 this year and possibly go to a BCS bowl?

****ing hilarious if it took seeing their upcoming schedule for aTm fans to realize that they're going to get their ass kicked year in and year out. aTm will continue to get the preseason hype, the only difference is instead of stumbling to 6-6, in the SEC they'll stumble to 5-7 or 4-8.

We got both the new guys at Mizzou and TAMU at home and meeshegan in Dallas. It will be an interesting year with new blood in the SEC. Does my pal Chili still live in Dallas?

Ole Miss has alot tougher schedule, at Bama, at Arkansas, at Georgia, at LSU. A&M will probably win 6 or 7 again. Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn are all beatable, plus some non-conference wins.

A&M underachieves every year. In the Big XII they "should've won" 9 or 10 games every year, but they didn't. I don't expect that to change in the SEC, and I think it stands a good chance of probably getting a little worse. Sure, they'll get 6 or 7 wins some years, but they aren't going to sniff the upper echelon of the conference. In regards to recruiting, i think Aggie is going to be in for a bit of a surprise at the degree to which their new SEC foes are able to successfully grab top TX talent that they think should mostly be falling into their lap.

Brown has pretty much taken care of getting the best Texas players every year. He looses a few to A&M, OU or LSU, but as long as they shut the door on other teams Texas will be a rated team, even with a Mack Brown as head coach. I will be surprised if A&M does not win 6 or 7 games next year. Florida is not what they were under Meyer, so that's another possible win for them. The Big 12 had some good teams this year OSU, Texas, KSU, OU, MU, and Baylor. MU was a huge loss to the Big 12, bigger than A&M.

A&M sees their move to the SEC as now allowing them to compete with the Longwhorns for recruiting on *at the very least* an equal playing field, instead of being "little brother". While the Longwhorns will undoubtedly continue to get more than their fair share, I'm saying I think aTm is underestimating what their move to the SEC is going to do in terms of leading to an increase of TX kids going to their newfound SEC brethren.

And yes, the Big XII can be tough. However, I'm sure you would agree that the SEC is tougher. aTm has literally underachieved every season since '98, I don't expect that to change anytime soon. In regards to their SEC schedule, 4-4 is certainly possible, but so is 2-6 -- it's certainly not beyond aTm to stumble against Mizzou and/or at Mississippi State, let alone Florida.

The SEC East is not what it used to be, but the West more than makes up for it. A&M is in the toughest conference division in college football. IF they don't play their "A" game every week 2-6 is certainly possible. Getting away from Texas was a good move, and could help their recruiting. Auburn is rebuilding, and LSU and Bama will always be a Top dozen team until Miles or Saban leave.
