When we spoke with Hall, he was en route to an in-home visit with Colorado.
"They just called me," said the senior. "They're waiting on me at my house. It's coach Eric Bieniemy and the DBs coach (DC Greg Brown). Coach Bieniemy is a nice guy. He's down to earth and can talk a good game."

************************

That was from 12/13.

St. Charles just won the state championship. Lazedrick Thompson, another guy we have been recruiting, is the team's RB.

Scout report from the Houston Nike Combine:

Jeffrey Hall, St. Charles (LA) – If the ball was in the air, it was likely that Hall would come down with it (on the day he hauled in three). He showed good cover skills on the deep ball, utilizing the sideline as an extra defender. If the ball was not intercepted, it was knocked down on most of his reps in 1-on-1s.

This was his first season as a cornerback and that camp was the first time he played the position.

Rivals and Scout are both now showing a CU offer.

Scout also gave a great update this week on Hall's recruiting:

Colorado sent two coaches, including defensive coordinator Greg Brown, to LaPlace for an in-home visit with Hall.

"They want me to visit Colorado so they can show me the town," said Hall. "They have a scholarship for me and want me to come get a spot. They showed me some of the coverages they run."

Where will Hall visit?

"It's probably up to my mom," he said. "Whichever one she likes most."

thanks for the info!

He could be a good WR. don't see he has enough speed for DB. Really raw as RB.

Bigger issue is he sounds pretty immature, both because of his grades and him deferring so much responsibility to his parents.

Thompson looks like pretty good RB. He signed with Tulane.

It might be best if you do not expand any further on this statement.

Is this a case of being a garbageman and calling oneself a "refuse engineer" or do you drive a train?
We call railroad engineers "train drivers." "Refuse engineer?" Is that someone who is an expert in refusing to do ****? If so, my kids qualify.

Definitely worth a look, guys.

Adam at Rivals just got some positive info on Hall. Looks good for us, as it should against our competition.

SIAP but does anyone have a 40 time for this guy?

ESPN listed a 4.6 flat, which is encouraging. They're usually at least a tenth slower than what other sites list. Probably means that the ESPN is the accurate one, but I don't use theirs in the profiles because most of the board thinks a guy is slow unless he self-reports something in the 4.4 range to Rivals or Scout.

Edit: For example, you guys have all seen the film on Jeffrey Thomas. He looks like a 4.6 guy, right? Rivals lists him at 4.66, which is probably about right and should improve a bit in college. However, ESPN lists Thomas as a 4.94 forty. Does anyone who has watched him believe that Cody Hawkins is as fast as him?

He looks like a project with decent speed. Okay with taking him, but we really need a couple guys who can play right away back there.

Looks like the staff is slow playing him, well that what i got from him not announcing his commitment to CU.

you have so little evidence on making that decision that you should probably take this post down. Total bull**** iyam.

Laying the Pipe

I agree this kid looks like a project and his grades make him a bit risky. Have to wonder why the staff would take a fringe player (even at a position of need) when his grades are shakey. Could it be they're trying to use him as a springboard either to get into that high school or to get an "in" with another player? If Lazedrick is already off the board, is there a kid at that school for the class of 2013 who we're already targeting? Is that high school a powerhouse worthy of laying down some pipe? If so, then this is a great example of Embo's and EB's recruiting philosophy and it's the one thing that makes me most willing to drink their Kool Aid.

I have yet to watch his new film but based on this, his hips look very stiff. If he is expected to help at DB, this is especially a bad fit. I'll reserve judgement until I see his senior video.

Post #14 has his senior highlights.
