Darrell Scott Leaving For NFL

Too bad McHoody isn't in Denver any more. Scott would have been a 1st round draft pick.

No axe to grind with the kid, but I really think he'd be better served with another year of development. Good luck to him, though.

He´s essentially only played one season. Not sure he´s doing himself any favors.

I think it´s fitting I was sitting on the toilet when I saw that Tweet tho.

If the kid is taking bad advice from someone, I feel bad for him. If he isn't taking advice from anyone on this decision then he probably ought to think about getting some advice. He was the 85th leading rusher in the country this year. I guess he could be alright at the next level, but he doesn't have the draft stock to declare early. He is a late round reach at best, and at worst he is looking at UFA territory.

UFA,

Plenty of talent, lack of production, serious questions about his desire and work ethic.

Hard to see anyone spending a draft pick on him unless he does something spectacular in workouts, even then no more than a late pick.

Every year there is some player who declares early and ends up watching the enitre draft, beginning to end, and not hearing their name....this year it could be Scott.

What was the name of the Notre Dame RB who declared early and went undrafted?

My guess is that he just bombed his finals, and might be looking at academic problems.

That's the first thought that came to mind. The kid is seriously delusional if he thinks the NFL is just waiting to hand him big $ at this point....

Wonder how he would be recieved in Texas? Dallas, Houston. What would be the fan response to a guy who turned down the beloved longhorns.
