This morning, I was thinking about who the Buffs best 3 players are this year. Not just a "who is your top 3?" type of thing, but based on the major skill sets.

So, who do you think our top 3 are for each of the following:

Scoring (jump shots):

Scoring (in the paint):

Rebounding:

Passing:

Ball Handling:

Defense (on ball):

Defense (help):

I need to think a bit about this, but I'm thinking that Carlon is going to show up in more Top 3s than any of our other guys.

Some of these are close calls. Here's my first run at it:

Scoring (jump shots):
1. Carlon
2. Mayor
3. Ski

Scoring (in the paint):
1. Austin
2. Carlon
3. Dre

Rebounding:
1. Dre
2. Carlon
3. Mayor

Passing:
1. Mayor
2. Carlon
3. Nate

Ball Handling:
1. Nate
2. Ski
3. Mayor

Defense (on ball):
1. Carlon
2. Chen
3. Adams

Defense (help):
1. Dre
2. Carlon
3. Austin

Curious as to your ball handling pick. Is it who handles the ball the most?

The way I think of it is who do I feel most comfortable with dribbling the ball if the other team is trapping/pressing or who I think is most capable of taking someone off the dribble through traffic without getting his pocket picked.

I thought about Chen and even Dre for that. Austin is also damn good for his position.

and you chose Nate as your #1? Are you trying to piss me off?

Ive had a lot of debate with people over the top 3 on the team and i think its definitly Dinwiddie, Carlon and Dre, the only other argument i think could maybe be made for Ski or Dufault but thats it really

I'm back on the Nate bandwagon. **** it. I'm gonna drive the thing.

Next home game, I'm gonna be in your ear with, "AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE, OI, OI, OI!" for 2 hours.

i gotta agree w/ you... pretty tough, you just listed 6 very good players w/ handles...

Bench:
1. Ski
2. Chen
3. Adams

Am I missing anyone here.

you got it, but these are all guards and TB is gonna put in a big either after ski or before ski like the other game when 2 minutes into the game dufault had 2 turnovers....

And I left off Carlon because of his early season struggles. If I could forget that and just focus on the past 5 or 6 games, he'd be way up there.

It's simple...we got two scorers in Brown & Dinwiddle plus a rebounding machine in Roberson. That should be enough although I would love to see one more rebounder emerge besides Roberson.

Agree, would expect SHT to get more minutes - my three were off my perceived impact so far. I hope to see Cain continue to improve as well.

Top three

Scoring Outside
1 Carlon
2 Mayor
3 Dufault but he never shoots for some reason

Scoring Inside
1. Dufault developed a post game
2. Dinwiddie think of all his drives in transition where he either lays it in or gets to the line
3. Flydre on O boards and dump off passes alone

Rebounding
1 Flydre
2. No one
3. No one

Ball handling
1. Ski on pure talent he is our best
2. Mayor never turns it over
3. Nate u see him **** his pants when Wroten took one step towards him in the second half

Passing
1. Ski lethal when driving
2. Nate
3. Mayor

On Ball D
1. Adams
2. Nate
3. Chen

Carlon gives up way too many points to be considered a good defender

Help D
1. Flydre
2. Nate
3. I guess dufault

Carlon over helps letting his man get many uncontested threes

Although it ay seem as tho i am being harsh on carlon i do believe he is our best player because there is no one in the pac 12 that can guard him
