I think I might send Sandusky after him. Is it just me or does that nickname sound, well, completely gay? Why not call him the corner fairy, or the defensive swish? I am not at all sure I would want somebody calling me that on national TV every five minutes....

Any drinking game involving Honey Badgers name could have put people in the hospital for alcohol poisoning.

He does this ****. Remember "Teddy Ginn Jr?" Mushmouth lived to say his name.

I turned the game on late in the first half (saw like 5 plays of the drive to the 3rd FG) and was already sick of Mooseboogers and Herbie and turned it off. I read later there were more FGs and a TD. Didn't miss much, huh?

Musberger does this. During the Rose Bowl, he said the word "Folks" about 40 times. Not an exaggeration.

But this is common with many play by play guys. The next time you watch Al Michaels, count up the number of times he tells you where a particular player used to play. "Another tackle by the former (insert name of team here)".

As anoying as Mustberger way, he did have one of my favorite calls of all time, although I'm not sure it was intentional. This paraphrase is 95% accurate: "McCarron swings the pass out to number 17, Brad Smelley, and he's pushed out of bounds immediately. The Tigers' secondary really sniffed out that play."

Good stuff Honey Badger.

I have really found musburger to be annoying the last 5 or so years - I hate that he is trying to discover a tag line like the great "woh nelly" he never will of course

He uses his tag line at the beginning of the telecast, so once he says it his work is done for the night and he just ****s around announcing the game like he's talking to a group of 4 year old kids.

I don't normally get too critical of play by play people. I am more interested in the game than what the announcer is saying unless I like what the announcer/play by play person says. I thought Bud Wilkinson was a great commentator. I liked John Madden and many or even most of the baseball guys. But of all the announcers over the years Musberger is about the only one that drove/drives me crazy. In fact some years ago he annoyed so many people he was sort of run out of major announcing. I remember one criticism was that he called a game like he was calling World War III. But he has come back. I didn't watch that much of the Nat'l Championship but that he irked folks with the constant use of this nickname which is nothing more than a trendy and hip appellation, doesn't surprise me. Every thing he calls is cloying and artificially familiar. The FSU team is the "Nolls", the QB star is always referred to by his first name. No matter Musberger probably doesn't really know the fellow. I am glad I didn't waste my time on that game.

Honey badgers are the most gangster animals on the planet: they eat cobras and bees and such.

Oh gawd, seems like the honey badger nickname has filtered to Nascar of all places. However, Danica Patrick the honey badger? Really? I dont watch Nascar but Id think it fits Stewart better.

Since my time Keith Jackson is (was) my favorite announcer followed by Howard Cosell

I love Gus Johnson, especially paired with Bill Raftery. Too bad Gus moved to Fox, no more Gus & Bill calling games together during the NCAA tourney  ONIONs!!
