Reid isn't ready to commit to Colorado, but he did say he "was very interested" in attending the school. He lauded Colorado's coaching staff for making him feel wanted.

Knew McGhee and Bieniemy by name, which is always a good sign. Likes that we're recruiting him as an all-purpose back while others are trying to move him to defense. Sounds like we've got a good shot here.

As an aside, I like that we're being very targeted on the east coast. We're pretty much hitting DC and Don Bosco Prep, with some highly rated targets sprinkled in who have some type of connection to the program.

Interesting, too, that he reports offers from CU, Stanford, and Vandy -- this makes me believe he's a solid student as well as a good fb player.

With Catalon already on board, these RB prospects are going to have to claim their spot soon or risk losing the spot. Can't imagine we are going to be taking more than a couple this year. I know that Payne and Chris Brown v2 had expressed some strong interest previously, but somebody needs to pull the trigger.

Has some nice moves, but reminds me a lot of Catalon. I'd think we would be looking for a bigger power back type to pair with Catalon this class? Reid also looked pretty good on defense, maybe we prefer him there, but want to give him a shot at RB.

Either way, I agree nik, good to see if we venture too far from home that we're at least narrowing down on specific areas.

Well my previous concerns aren't valid anymore since Catalon ditched. He looks pretty damn fast and has some good moves. He looks a lot like Chris Brown to me (the 2012 recruit) uses his speed a lot to outrun people, not my favorite quality in a RB, but we could use some speed in the backfield.

Committed to West Virginia on his visit. This is a surprise. Did not expect him to pop this quickly.

You know we saw this with Gavin Andrews, OG from Granite Bay HS who committed upon visiting OSU. I think these guys are fickle and want to feel loved, and once they see something more beautiful, which shows them more love, they'll be committing there. Last visit might count for some of these guys.

Stanford and Duke offers and he wants to go to WVU? Study Appalachian history while freezing his arse off? WVU is lose to Pittsburgh but without nice stuff. Same weather.... BAD!

By all means, tell us more...
:stupid:

I am with Rabbit on this one though that he seems to avoid contact as a RB-that is not really the kind of RB Embree and EB are recruiting. I wonder if they are more interested in him as a CB especially with 3 other RB commits in this class and Brown/Shead still possibilities. Has good closing speed and good size for a CB.

I'm not impressed by his highlights. I don't think he has either the agility or power for RB. Doesn't have enough speed for DB. Maybe WR or special teams. I wouldn't be spending time trying to turn him from WV.

We're in a good enough position to turn down 4* talent? Our roster really has enough speed/overall athleticism already?

I am saying that I don't see 4* talent from that highlight clip.

I also feel like that last year's class included a number of general athletes without a natural position or strong fit. So I would hesitate before expending precious recruiting resources without a grand strategy of how the class fits together.

I understand the opposing view that we have strong position coaches who are confident in their ability to train players and develop their skills.

Where do you think he would best contribute? If he does sign, I would be willing to bet he doesn't make the rotation at RB.

Per Scout, committed to Maryland today. Locksley continues to make an impression with two four star RB commits within the last week.

When Locksley's football career flames out, he'll have unlimited potential as a used car salesman.
