Damiene Cain out for the rest of the season due to personal reasons

I wonder if these are the same personal reasons for why he didn't start the season, or if they're completely new. I hope he does well for himself.

I was starting to get frustrated that I wasn't seeing him getting more playing time as the season progressed, but that might have been a good thing for the team based on this news. It won't be like the team is having to replace a half of a game's worth of minutes.

This makes it seem pretty clear that a scholly isn't being held for him at this time.

Too bad, I would've liked to see him develop over the next 4 years. I wish him the best, but look forward to seeing what that scholarship yields next year!

All very odd with the cain tenure in boulder, i also don't expect to see him in a buff uniform again. I wish hm the best, i had high hopes for him.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!

Well, that would seem to explain the lack of minutes. Disappointed, but hope everything works out for he and the Buffs.

Is Cain just burnt out of basketball? I did play a few seasons of HS football and people were telling me I should play college football but I decided I wanted to get an education and I am glad I decided not to play college football in the first place.

Pretty much. He was never a guy who lived and breathed basketball.

Looking more like Chen will be a schollie player next season, and we'll have 2-3 to give for the '13 Class.

This Q and A was in Thorburn's chat today

Q)Is Cain still attending classes at CU? Just wondering how his situation affects our APR?

A)Cain is not attending CU this semester. His leaving won't impact the APR too much because he leaves in good academic standing. And the door is not officially closed on him returning to the program or CU, although either scenario is unlikely.

This is good news, I had kind of figured he probably wasn't eligible and that was one of the reasons he left the team.
