Possibly through 2017.

Looking east. Want to connect with that Chicago alumni base.

Bohn said CU is strongly considering another 13-game colorado football schedule in 2015 when the Buffs will play at Hawaii once again.
He said he is talking with his counterparts at several Big Ten Conference schools -- all within a few hours drive from Chicago -- about potential games for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

I repeat: Bohn can suck a fat one.

If we still need to play 13 games if we can because for monetary reasons despite the P12 media deal we may want to reconsider our goals or just scrap the ****ing football program altogether if the only reason they´re trotting out a team is to make cash.

if he didn´t learn his lesson re: 13 games from the 2011 season the guy is in over his head.

Show some god damn ambition for ****ing once.

The only way a 13-game season is even remotely a good idea is if there are 6 games in Folsom (7 total in Colorado). Otherwise, the AD is not only making it difficult for the team, but they are screwing over the fans as well.

Put me down as a "no" overall though. And if the 2015 schedule looks anything like 2011, fire Bohn immediately.

The thirteenth game should be the 7th home game for CU, not the 6th. We are supposed to get 6 home games every year regardless. The OSU game this year could have just as easily been a home game against Southwest Oklahoma A&M at home. If it's another away game against a perennial BCS contender, Bohn should indeed be fired on the spot.

A few hours from Chicago? So what B1G programs could that be? Northwestern and Illinois?

You are right. If it can be worked out with 7 games at Folsom plus an 8th in Denver (if the CSU series is still going as such), 13 games is not a completely bad idea.

What happened to the original thread about this stuff? It was discussed yesterday. The original thread seems to have morphed into this one without the original content.

I guess SOPA is to blame. Damn that SOPA! The vote hasn't even happened & it's already impacting allbuffs content. How very sneaky of the SOPA enablers.

Nm. Found it under the buffs target foes to the east thread title. I still blame SOPA.

The 13th game this year was all about making up the $$$ deficit created by the move from the Big 12 to the PAC-12. By 2015, PAC-12 money will be raining like, well...rain. Playing 13 games will just be a way for us to get another home game.

Based on his past scheduling, I think that's exactly what we're going to get.

Road game in Toledo or one off vs. OSU ring a bell?

...on a Wednesday to ensure national TV.:smile2:

That Toledo game was the biggest scheduling **** up I've ever heard of. Miami wanted out, we should have made them pay the contract termination fee and scheduled ANYONE at home for that date. Instead he schedules a mid-week night game at the home of ****ing Toledo?

I still get pissed thinking about that one.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a 14-game college football schedule by 2015. With the SEC expanding to 14 teams, they're going to have some scheduling issues if they can't get more games to play. With the BiG and Pac 12 doing their cross-scheduling agreement, that adds more pressure on OOC scheduling, too. If the SEC, BiG and Pac 12 all petition for a 14-game regular season, it will happen. The NCAA is slowly getting backed into a corner. They won't have much choice.

That pushes the train a different direction, sacky. I think some of the powers-that-be are now considering some type of playoff -- prolly an "and-1". If there's any movement on that, the increase in the # of season games won't happen.

The size of the conferences will dictate it, IMO. The SEC can't have a situation where some of their teams are only playing other conference teams once every 6 years.

I imagine there are quite a few presidents, chancellors, et al, of schools who would see an expanded season as a threat to academics. There will be opposition, imo.

On the flip side, many teams have 1 or 2 "off" weekends during the season, which typically finishes at the end of November. I could see college football adding one more season game -- it's feasible. Unless some type of playoff is agreed on and implemented.

Meh- one game doesn't do much. Start the season one week earlier, end it one week later, call it good. I honestly think this is the direction we're going. The Presidents won't say much when they're told how much money they'll make from the extra two games. Academics be damned for basketball teams, who have to travel during the middle of the week. I don't see why football should be treated any better. In fact, football brings in a lot more money.

But you can't add a week for a plus 1 playoff. They're hypocrites, but that's no surprise, either.
