Fox31 just reported that the Broncos asked permission to interview him if they lose their OC.

NO OC will want to come to the Broncos. You have a QB that can't do ****, but everyone loves him for reasons of their own. You can't do ****...and if you fail, then it's all your fault, NOT Tebows...it's yours.

I'm surprised the Broncos don't go after Dave Logan as their OC...seriously. I'm not trying to play off the allbuffs joke about Logan. Why not? Seriously - who is going to come to Denver to be their OC? NOBODY...

You underestimate the amount of pride that people have. I guarantee you that every OC in the NFL thinks they could succeed with Tebow.

Promote Kennedy to QB/AHC with a nice raise. This is an assistant that we're going to have a hard time keeping if we don't do something soon.

We can't afford to lose a guy like him. He's not going to stick around for a Passing game coordinator tag imo. Not at CU at least.

Of course if McCoy gets the Miami job, they do need a QB, and Tebow would sell tickets in Florida..... :hmmm:

I guarantee you this statement is wrong.

Plenty of people want the job though. They will have no issues finding someone to take the job.

I respectfully disagree... I think you underestimate either how horrible Tebow is or the objective intelligence of OCs.

Has he had any qb coaching experience? I agree, we need to keep him around awhile.

People will want to prove critics wrong. Thing is, whatever system they run willl have to be changed to fit tebow's style and many will not want to make that change.

If Rip takes an NFL job, I think we need to make a splash. Chuck Long's out of work since Weis replaced the staff at KU (Ron Powlus is the new QB coach).

Definitely will hurt to lose Rip, although I'm not surprised he won't be here longer. Would love to be wrong though.

According to you, nobody is going to want a NFL OC job, but the guy who has it as of this moment is the favorite to get the get the HC gig in Miami because of the work he did with someone who nobody wants to work with, according to you. Yeah, that makes sense.

he gone

@thegarymiller
Agent Drew Rosenhaus says Mike Mccoy will be named Dolphins coach. Miami media believes McCoy is front runner. No official announcement yet.

Couldn't they have done something useful and semi-intelligent, like hire Chip Kelly out of the Pac 12 before signing day?

Hopefully if Rip leaves it doesn't affect Dillon's commitment. I am not sure how close Dillon feels to Rip but hopefully not too close! And hopefully if Rip departs JE has a backup plan that will help the Buffs quickly with Wood and Dillon.

I think Embree knew this was a possibility and has been working on a replacement for a little while.

The big question will be, can he convince his first choice (whoever it is) to take the job at CU?

Dillon's solid.

I believe people get too caught up in a name. I'm sure Powlus/Long has name recognition to us fans, but not to 17yo HS kids. I believe the best replacement is already on our staff. It would be great to see him pulling talented QB's out of Texas.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's the one who recruited Wood to UT? He's the one responsible for getting him to transfer here too right?

Doesn't mean BK can coach quarterbacks. Our best pitch right now is that we have position coaches who know what it takes to get you to the NFL. BK as QB Coach makes zero sense to me.

Tebow has a career winning record, has thrown twice as many TD's as INT's, led the NFL in rushing from the QB position, and won a playoff game and in that game set several records and threw for more yards then any other QB has this year against the Steelers and he's only going to get better. I'm not claiming that he's a superstar QB or ever will be but those accomplishments would seem to disprove your theory that he "can't do ****." You also have to consider all of the intangible qualitites that he brings to a team. If the OC job is vacant there will be plenty of interest, people don't typically turn down promotions. It was such a terrible job for Mike McCoy that he parlayed it into having 3 different teams interested in him for their head coaching job.

I always get kind of a kick out of it when people say that a certain NFL job is a bad one. Think of all the football coaches there are in this country. There are only 32 NFL head coaching jobs, 32 NFL o coordinator jobs, and 32 NFL d coordinator jobs. If you're a football coach and one of those becomes available to you, you take it unless there's an unusual circumstance. These are competitive guys. They want to prove it at the highest level.
