Navy to the Big East

If AFA leaves the MWC I'm sure this helps csu with their chances for a 50K seat on campus stadium.

CSU will fill that baby, SRO, against Utah State and New Mexico State, they don't need AFA.

Hope AFA does this so that the MWC continues its freefall

We could see the MWC, Conf-USA, and the WAC all band togther to form one giant ****** conference. They could call it the BIG Leftovers. That's if the BIG East hasn't taken the name yet.

When I think of the word mountain(s), I think of grandiose and beautiful. Then there's the MWC -- irrelevant in the landscape of college football. What a waste of a good word.

At least it makes geographic sense for Navy. It makes no sense for the AFA.

I have also read that if/when AQ status is eliminated for all conferences, both Boise State and SDSU will have an opporunity to reconsider their moves. If I were an SDSU fan right now I would be livid and would be praying that, in fact, happens. You have a basketball program that is reaching heights it has never reached before and the administration is about to tube your entire program by sticking it in the Big West?

It makes no sense, especially when you consider Boise State and SDSU are expecting somewhere in the range of $6-7MM year in a new tv deal, but will also have to pay a $2.5MM entrance fee and a $5MM MWC exit fee. So at the end of the day, those schools are preparing to shell out $7.5MM to enter a highly unstable conference with likely no AQ status and at the expense of their other olympic sports. That looks like a recipe for disaster to me and is not a situation I would want to see AFA (or CSU for that matter) touch with a 10 foot pole.
