Currently a soft verbal to USC, Armstead is one of the top prospects in the country. He could play offense or defense and he may also play Power Forward for the basketball program wherever he chooses to go to college. His older brother, Armond, is on the USC football team.

They guaranteeing him one of the 10 scholarships? For his own sake he should jump on a program on the way up, not down. I don't think USC is done sliding. Kiffin's behavior in TN is unabated since he came back.

Early buzz is that it is a deep year for OL in California for the 2012 class. Armstead looks to be the best of the group, will be in the mix for a 5* rating from all the major recruiting sites.

For the west coast in general, not just Cali. It will be much deeper than this year with much more talent at the high end as well. This year was very thin for lineman in quality and quantity.

Yeah, I know Banner out of Washington is another high-end OT prospect.

I've heard some speculate that Garnett could be even better (OG) than Banner out of Washington. And Brostek in Hawai'i is another... and then Peat in AZ.

Arik Armstead easily looks like one of the best OL prospects coming out of HS that i've seen in the last five years, if not longer than that. His video speaks for itself but I don't think it's out of this world to say he could be the next Orlando Pace. Now does he want to play OL? That's the question. The guy has great size, IMMACULATE explosive power in his body.

He sounds like a firm commitment for the Trojans as he wants to play Football and Basketball, plus his brother is there. I don't think he makes that call this early if he's truly open to going other places. It sucks because this guy is going to be a beast and I would want him playing for CU in the WORST way. I definitely don't want to see him on the opposing OL for the next four years, that's for damn sure.

I assume we have a snowball's chance in hell. Please tell me I'm wrong. Put this dude at one tackle position, Nembot at the other. Move Bakhtiari back to guard with Asiata at the other guard position and Munyer at center.

Interesting, Armstead's brother is at USC. I've seen the tape on this guy and his capability is off the charts. Could be an Orlando Pace type with his explosiveness on the field.

Huffman's article indicated that Armstead really wants to play on the defensive side of the ball as opposed to the offensive line. Also indicated that he really wants to be able to play football and basketball in college. Tad Boyle...paging Mr. Tad Boyle.

Zero chance.

You are ranked #1 OT in the nation and you want to move to D Line?

Does not matter anyway because the odds of getting him to Boulder is lower than tini's prediction.

So this guys recruiting is confusing as hell. He lists Oregon, Notre Dame and Auburn as his favorites (he eliminated Cal today). His original plan was too attend school with his brother which meant Auburn or Notre Dame, but now his brother has decided to stay at USC for another semester. Arik has now pushed back his commitment to signing day which would mean if he wants to play spring ball due to registration rules the only school he could do that at is Oregon. I have no idea where he will end up, but I have the odd feeling he may end up at a school not even listed in his top 3.

You could be right. Heard on the radio this morning that he is a UCLA commit.

Neither is accurate. Buffs should get back in the game here and aggressively pursue both brothers. They are looking for a good academic and athletic fit.

Info is good, where's the credit, or did you personally determine this?

Lulz. I'm gonna guess didn't personally determine given the font and color of the text and "Pleasant Grove (Calif.)" reference. ZBuff aiming for a position in the Junta.
