Grew up as a military kid. Moved around a bit and one of the places he has lived is Colorado. Probably more likely than many recruits to leave his state for college.

"I went out to Colorado for an Elite camp and I really liked it," he said. "I fell in love with their campus, and the coaches were great, too. I have been talking to them some more so it has been going good."

I love the size, especially already at that age. From what I could see, he's got really quick feet for his size as well (twice as fast as I ever was at guard in high school, and he's got over 100 pounds over my playing weight).

I say that we make sure to bring him to Junior day and lock this kid up. It sounds like he wants to be here, and we could stand to lock up some quality OL prospects in next year's class.

Thanks for the info Nik.

We have offered.

Jon Embree and Colorado are not wasting anytime in offering 2013 prospects and have been very busy in Orange County lately...

Orange Lutheran junior offensive lineman Colin Sutton (6-5, 285) has been offered by Colorado, according to a tweet by his sister, Olympic swimmer Chloe Sutton of the Mission Viejo Nadadores. “Colin just got his first offer!!! It’s from Colorado. We are all very excited

” tweeted Chloe Sutton, who has been supporting her brother for years.

Colorado also recently offered one of Sutton’s fellow offensive lineman at Orange Lutheran: junior John Lopez, who also has offers from UCLA and Florida State.

A really old article on Colin:
OLu getting big freshman with Olympic-bloodlines

May 22nd, 2009, 10:45 pm

Orange Lutheran is receiving a freshman football/basketball player to keep an eye on – which won’t be hard with his size. Colin Sutton, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound eighth grader, is set to start school at Orange Lutheran in the fall. The 14-year-old is a lineman in football. Colin also is the sister of Olympic swimmer Chloe Sutton of the Mission Viejo Nadadores.

I met Colin for the first time Friday and I can say this: he seems every bit 6-foot-5, 245 pounds. And actually looks like he has the frame to easily add more weight/muscle. He could be a very scary dude in another year or two.

And if he is as competitive as his sister, watch out for Colin Sutton.

Sutton was one of the OLs that I really wanted. So glad he chose to be a Buff!

:woot:

Wait... WHAT?!?!?

Holy shizznit. Somebody call Satan and see if he needs a sweater.

Congratulations to you guys on pulling in a big OL win. I know you've been sweating this position more than a little. Of course I'm even more pleased that it wasn't one of the guys that Boise State had offered!
