April 14, Saturday - SPRING GAME (game time is not finalized, either 4pm or 5pm)

With the 14 practices leading up to the SPRING GAME, 3 will be in shorts and 11 in pads (4 w/ no tackling, 4 w/ tackling 50% of practice, and 3 with full tackling).

No practices are expected to be open to the public, only the SPRING GAME.

For the Fall, players will report on August 6th (Monday), begin practice on August 7th (Tuesday) and have their first practice in pads on August 12th (Sunday). No word yet on whether any of these will be open to the public.

I know some of you like the late afternoon/evening time slot so you can tailgate during the day, but I am all for the 1-3 PM starting time. Boulder is not exactly warm when the Sun is well past it's zenith in mid april, and watching a game that means nothing beyond being there for support and scouting the players is much more enjoyable in warm sunshine. Party pooper, I know.

Just an FYI. Sunset happens at 7:37 on April 14th so if the game starts at 4pm, it should be over right around sunset. In 2011, the high was 53 degrees and 2010 we saw a high of 68 degrees. Since it is boulder we can probably expect any kind of weather from snow to rain to sunshine and quite possibly all 3 in the same day.

I forgot Embo said the fall camp practices would be different, in regards to being open to the public, when we opened with CSU. Damn.

Wow! Predicting the weather two months ahead of time! You could be a TV weatherman!

Good move by John Embree on no open practices. Nothing to see anyways, the real position battles will take place during the fall. I would just use spring ball to work on fundementals and install the playbook.

I kinda hope the staff installed the playbook last season.
