I'll go ahead and get it started. Who's in????

Taking my boys down to meet my sister and brother-in-law for the entire Oregon swing. Anyone else coming?

GO BUFFS! :gobuffs:

Jealous, should be a great weekend. Hope you can bring 2 wins back with you. I like our chances at Oregon State, as our win over the Beavs in Boulder was more than just riding the homecourt momentum to a win. It was clear that we were the much better team (although OSU can be dangerous when the shots are falling). I think those completely writing off our chances at Oregon are wrong as well. I expect another close game in which the Buffs will have the opportunity to seize the W.

I'm already making plans for when the Buffs come to my [general] neck of the woods in November for the Charleston Classic. So psyched for the field of teams - an opportunity to get a couple quality wins early so we don't put ourselves in the position we're in right now

Gonna be really jealous when you come back with 2 wins and a pac 12 championship.

I think I will be at the Oregon/Colorado game since it will be my last chance to see a Ducks game before I go to Canada.

Should be in for both. Going down from Portland, anyone want to get Buff pre-game meetup going in Poogene or Corvallis? There are some fine breweries (not nearly as fine as Colorado's, though)

Finally getting deported, eh?

I'll look at taking the kids to the OSU game. Thursday night is not good with kids in school.

Totally agree - had to get ahead of the game and let the teachers know now I'm taking them out. They were quite receptive. Going to take them to OMSI on Friday so the trip is somewhat educational. Looking forward to taking the youngest down on the USS Blueback. He was too young the last time we were there.

Will be in Eugene Thursday night then staying in Portland Friday and Saturday nights with the drive to Corvallis on Saturday afternoon. Really looking forward to spending the time with the boys. Only trick is trying to find a place to do my long training run on Saturday (6 miles.) Training up for another half marathon...

Blueback is cool. Some friends in the boy scouts got to spend the night on it. My son is very jealous about that.

Run the Leif Erickson trail in Forest Park. You will not regret it.

Geez - I'm even jealous. That'd be a kick in the ass to do that.

Thanks for the trail suggestion - we're staying at the Courtyard downtown. Is the trail close to there?

Leif Erickson trail is close to downtown but you'd probably want to drive to the trail head. You can google it pretty easily (trail head is at the west end of Thurman St). One possibility would be to take the street car to 23rd and run to the trail from there. It gets you pretty close. PM me and I can give you more details.

Another easy option downtown is to run along the river. You can run north, cross at the steel bridge then run south along the other side. Come back across the hawthorne bridge. You might need a bit of a down and back (past OMSI) on the east side of the river to make sure you get 6 miles.
