Key to finishing strong is for Carlon Brown to find his shot, especially on the Road

When Brown shoots well, especially from three point range, we are a completely different and much better team, IMO. I believe Boyle has in fact said the same thing. Unfortunately, he has not shot the ball well for a while. In fact, his offensive efficiency has declined very significantly in the latter part of the season.

First six PAC 12 games (three home and three road) - Brown was 32-64, a 50.0% FG percentage and 13-29 from 3 pt range, 44.8%, while averaging 15.2 ppg. Last eight PAC 12 games (four home and four road)- Brown is 28-86, 32.5% FG percentage and only 7-38 from 3 pt range, 18.4%, while only averaging 9.1 ppg.

Also, Brown has shot very poorly on the road in seven PAC 12 road games, 24-70, 34.2% FG percentage and 5-28, 17.9% from 3 pt range! Carlon has made only 5 three pointers in seven PAC 12 road games but has attempted four per game.

With his decline in offensive efficiency, I'm amazed we're still winning and not surprised we struggle on the road. What a testament to Boyle's great coaching skills, and our outstanding defense. I'm concerned Carlon now lacks confidence in his shot, though I hope he can regain it. Let's go Carlon - get your shot back!

Carlon needs to find it at home this week. He's not going to be able to post up Stanford with their size. He needs to break them down from the wing and he needs to get out and run.
