The gray part on the coast is Camp Pendleton. It's pretty huge. 88 probably should have used Temecula as a reference point, though. But if you're heading down to SD on the I-15, it's definitely "south of Riverside". Probably an hour.

No hard feelings Nik. Growing up in LA, its just unusual for me to hear Riverside and Pendleton referenced next to each other all though technically you're right.
