I don't know what a DQB is, but I'm pretty sure we need one. Want!

Rivals and 247 both give separate rankings for pro style quarterbacks and dual-threat quarterbacks.

We're trying to keep it brief by listing as PQB and DQB instead of writing it out.

(Same think for strong side and weak side defensive ends - SDE/WDE.)

Tacoma (Wash.) Bellarmine Prep quarterback Sefo Liufau got his first offer late Sunday night, from Colorado...

Rip is responding to White Rabbit's thread.:smile2:

Part of the family involvement will include a trip to Boulder in April where the Liufau crew will go with their oldest child when he makes an unofficial visit to meet the staff, tour the University, and see the Spring scrimmage. The family has been behind him all the way and he intends to keep them involved. While they can not make it to all his trips this one could be special.

Serious interest here. He claims to be our #1 QB target.

Great! I'm surprised we're his only offer at this point with his 4 star rating. Not complaining. Just surprised.

Went back and looked at his highlights. Good stuff. My guess is he gets some more offers once the Spring Evaluation period starts next month, maybe sooner.

Yup. very pro style. He's got some escapabillity, but really not in any way a threat to run (4.5 40 ). Nice arm motion, gets the ball downfield, can throw on the run.

Yeah, he is definitely not a freak athlete on the level of Cam Newton with his speed on the run, but he does seem to have a knack of knowing how to slide around in the pocket. For a pro-style offense, that type of pocket presence is essential. He has a good frame (looks at least 6'3") and a strong arm. Not the quickest delivery you will see, but nice accuracy.

I like him. It seems to me he'd be great in a pro-style
offense. The only reason he's listed as a dual threat
QB is cause his O-line can't block and he has to run a
lot.

Rated the #12 pro-style QB by Rivals today, which seems to fit with everyone's observations. He is a pass-first QB and has had to run more out of necessity.

The only thing I see wrong here is the music on that junior highlight video.

He's definitely not Marques Tuiasosopo, but he's athletic enough to create some plays from the pocket. Arm definitely checks out.

Adam update. Still the only school offering. Money quote:

"I said this a long time ago, but I am still being patient," he said. "Colorado being the first to offer is definitely really big and I will definitely take that into consideration if other schools come along and offer. It means a lot to me but by no means am I ruling out other schools because they weren't the first to offer."

Two 4* recruits in our first 3 commits would be astronomical. But that music.........

Kid looks good. Dual threat QB that can throw. Now that USC got the kid that looks like Peyton on film. My top 2 QB are Sefo and Kinkade. Both guys have a chance to develop into the next RG3.

Wonder if he was waiting and hoping for a USC offer. Now that they have a guy this should start a lot of things happening with QBs for a lot of teams.

Liufau is not really a dual threat QB. He is a pro-style QB that has had to run a lot in high school due to a porous offensive line. He is not a similar player to RG3 in most ways. They are really different QBs.

Not to mention, Very very few humans have the capability to be the next rg3. Just because you are a dual threat qb doesn't mean you can do it. Putting that label on a kid is almost certainly a mistake.

That too.:smile2:
