Next Darren Sproles

Darren Sproles college stats were 1500 yds, 20 tds, and a whole 1.6 yds/carry better than Speedy's. I love what Speedy gave to the Buffs, but he is not the next Darren Sproles. Less about agility & moves, more about strength (Darren is 15 pounds heavier at the same height) and raw straight line speed.

Sproles also played for much better teams than Speedy did.

Yeah, that is a weird comparison. Sproles is the better all-around player by far.

I'd compare Speedy to more of a Quentin Griffin. Remember him? Now we just need to get him the oversized elbow pads...

Kinda sucks that my insider ran out 2 weeks ago and i dont support ESecPN....

Not sure about stronger but Sproles is absolutely faster but when you were comparing stats, they will likely be better when you are on a better team.

They'll also be better if you are a better player.

Maybe but better teams will potentially make players look better than they actually are. Sproles is a better player than Speedy but it's tough to compare the two when both were in different situations.

It is not tough to compare the two players in this situation. Any reasonable person would say Sproles is the far better player.

Sproles was one of the strongest players when he was at K State. Little dude could bench over 420 pounds. He was the best free agent acquisition this past year in the NFL. Saints got an absolute steal from San Diego, who also gave them Drew Brees a few years before.

I never caught that before. The 'Aints are using Sandy Eggo as their farm team.

I think Sproles is faster and stronger. It will be interesting to see how Speedy's times compare.
