Official Game Thread: PAC-12 Championship vs Arizona

We're not done yet.

Tipoff at 4 on CBS.

But, but, but...Colorado owns these 9:30P tip offs. Heaven forbid anyone on the east coast should ever have a chance to watch the buffs play

So proud of our Tad and the boys, but now it's time to finish the job we came here to do. We're behind you all the way, Buffs. Stay aggressive, bring the intensity, and good things will happen. We can beat Arizona (again).

From ESPN's Bubble Watch: (We're back from the dead, they took us off after we lost to Oregon 8 days ago)

Colorado [22-11 (11-7), RPI: 76, SOS: 101] Great win for the Buffaloes on Friday night, but the likelihood that Colorado could lose to Arizona in Saturday's Pac-12 finale and still hope to get in the tournament as an at-large seems somewhat far-fetched. Really, the Buffs appear to be in the same lurch as Arizona: Both teams have sub-70 RPIs, each only has Cal as a top-50 victim, sub-.500 marks against the RPI top 100 and schedule marks that both hover around the 100 region, hardly enough to convince the committee that the lack of meat on these resumes was the product of particularly difficult scheduling. No, it seems all but certain that the team that wants in the tournament out of these two will have to earn it by sealing the automatic bid tomorrow. That should make for an exciting game for us non-fans, a harrowing experience for the die-hards, and another telling statement on the sheer wackiness of this season's Pacific-12 conference. Strange times.

CU and UofA grad. Not ever a question who I got tomorrow, but the wife is a Wildcat. House divided. GO BUFFS! #sleepingintheguestroom

Whew, at first I was worried there because they preempt any national games on CBS here to show to Ghey-CC tournament. But luckily our game starts about 30 minutes after the 2nd semifinal should finish up.

When was the last time we made it to a championship game? I remember one as a kid vs Kansas in the late 80's- early 90's, but thats all I got.

One of many future epic battles between the Pac 12 heavyweights CU and zona. I see this being a Pac 12 title match up many more times in our future.

Bringing in the big guns tonight. Announcers:
Kevin Harlan (pbp), Dan Bonner (analyst), Reggie Miller (analyst)

We made it to the Big 8 title game against OU in '89 or '90, somewhere around there. It was Tom Miller's last year, that I remember.

Damn. I was hoping to hear Steve Physioc jizz all over whoever is playing CU again.....

FYI, if you guys win, I'm driving from Wichita and raising some hell in Boulder with you guys. I was known to be an expert pyrotechnic during my days in my frat. Burn this mother down.
