One of the best CB prospects in the West for the 2012 class. Currently favoring Arizona, Notre Dame, and Oregon.

I love that we're in there competing for all the top guys in the west. It used to drive me crazy that there would be players everyone in the Big 12 or Pac-10 had offered but I wouldn't see CU on the list. Way to go, Embo. Bring it home.

Here are some sophomore highlights:

He gave a verbal commitment to Notre Dame over the weekend. Huge early get for the Fighting Irish.

Maybe other than Texas is there any school in the country that has won less games with more talent that Notre Dame.

Wish he wasn't going to SC but looking at the two programs it makes sense, not to mention the difference between living in South Bend vs. living in LA.

Just goes to show you how important it is for a coaching staff to dig deep into the background/character of players that are being recruited. Shepard and his cousin Deontay Greenberry were arguably the two best players in ND's class for most of the process. Just over a month after signing day, neither will be in South Bend for the fall.

For those of you wondering why we didn't put much effort into recruiting the top CB on the west coast in a year we were recruiting CBs so heavily...

So, looks like this kid ended up at a Mississippi juco, then Ole Miss but "retired" this season. Has now decided to unretire, claims to be 100% healthy and will do the grad transfer thing. Seems like kind of a handful, but would it be worth the risk to give him a look?
