The spirit of Sal Aunese has to be smiling somewhere. Aunese's son, T.C. McCartney, has decided to come home after nearly five years at Louisiana State as a football player and graduate assistant coach under head coach Les Miles to join the program his father once led at quarterback.

What does a GA do?

They coach, prepare film, help with scouting reports, etc. They're assistant coaches in training. One thing they can't do is off-campus recruiting.

This is a really good opportunity for T.C. Glad to have him as part of the staff.

A G.A. works pretty hard, from what I've seen. For a frame of reference, a G.A. would be an intern working 80 hours a week (during the fall, anyway). Welcome home, T.C.

He was a PWO under Miles. Probably could have walked on, but with the legacy he came from and where Hawk was I don't think he would have been warmly greeted like he will with Embree.

Good for him. The rumor I heardwas the same as alluded to by others...DII wasn't one to see anything that didn't happen on his watch as having any value. That si why former players, especailly those of the Mac era, were shunned by idot boy.
