If you had an opening for a head football coach, would you hire Petrino?

in 2 years, Yes. Now? hells no.

It would be hilarious if Coach Sparkles leaves the lambs to go to Arkansas. I know it won't happen but it would be pretty epic.

For CU or in general?

Definitely not at CU. Last thing we need with the image issues we've had. Somewhere else? Hell, I might give it a shot. He can coach.

I voted no, though...

If i am the lambs i fire sparkles now and hire him.

If I'm an AD, I couldn't really support the hire because he's shown a disturbing lack of loyalty or commitment to his teams. If I knew I was getting him for five or ten years, I would probably change my tune, but he's too much of a liability at this point.

I´d take anyone who can win us some football games at CU right now. ANYONE.

Which would mean CSU hires Petrino out of desperation a week before the RMS.

If I were a down program, hell yes. If I were an established program, hell no.

I could see him resurface at a program like Kentucky.

I think folks put too much weight on the sleaze factor. As long as it isn't obviously illegal, I really don't care who or what the coach does in his spare time. Bottom line is winning games!

If you are a non BCS school and you hire him he will leave you in the middle of the night 2-3 years after everything is forgotten and you will be screwed.

If you are a BCS school and not a top flight program he will do the same thing.

The only fit for him is the SEC where wining trumps anything else and he just got canned from there.

Hell no, I would not talk to him about anything.

I'd want to,but couldn't touch him right now.

I think he and Franchionne should have a talk show though,I'd love to call in and talk about motorcycles and world affairs

Anyone who thinks we should hire a coach who hired his mistress, paid her 20K and lied about their relationship after a motorcycle crash needs to get their priorities straight.

You need a school where winning is more important than what happens to get there.

You need a school that is willing to sell it's soul to have a program that is thought of as "bigtime."

You need a school that has already proven that character flaws can be ignored if the coach gets results.

You need a school with some big dollar donors who can influence decisions that a rational AD might not make.

You need a school that thinks it is a much better and more important program than it really is and is desperate to prove it.

If I'm a non-BCS school then absolutely I would hire him, especially if you are a bottom dweller type program. 2-3 years might be good enough to leave a good team for the next coach.

If I'm at a BCS, non-SEC school then hell no.

If I'm in the SEC, **** yes (unless you are a real marquee program...even though MSU thinks they are one as well).
