Athletically, both Connor Wood and Nick Kasa pass the eyeball test in terms of the athleticism it takes to compete and win at this level. We'll see what happens with live bullets and real competition.

Josh Moten has the athletic ability to be a quality CB in the Pac-12, but lacks consistency.

None of the WRs impressed me. Some got open against a skeleton crew secondary, but there wasn't the separation you'd hope to see if they're going to be counted on to do it against Pac-12 DBs.

Running game was working well. Not a positive but it avoided a negative. If you can't run against the interior DL we had available today, you have no business taking the field in the Pac-12.

Not seen much, but I continue to be impressed by how well this offense runs the screen play and how well Marshall coaches it. We'll be a good screen team again this year.

That's about it. More of a spring practice than a spring game. We've got a long way to go and a lot of questions, but I like the system and some of the pieces.

Brown sounded a bit worried about the D this fall and said 20 would start at a minimum this fall.

Last time I saw you was at the bottom end of an unnecessary tequila shot that Rugged dodged like a oussy. How did you make a sentient post after that. Drive home sucked but I'm a better pilot than Han and Chewy combined. Tapping the home bourbon reserves now. We're taking over LA. GO BUFFS.

Rugged didn't take a shot? I missed that. He must have been at the bar ordering another white wine spritzer.

Your wife... Get her under control.

That coaching staff you have so much confidence in must not be very good if your timeline for competitiveness with those programs is correct.
No I have complete confidence in the staff, but I don't see us being competitive with them for a few years, doesn't mean we can't win 8-9 games however.

...for a few years minimum... except you have high expectations... forgive me if I am completely confused now.

(Hint: you are basically saying we cannot even keep it close in any games against those teams until at least 2014, maybe longer)

High expectations for wins. We can win 8-9 without beating them (maybe I should rephrase it, I don't think we are going to beat them for a few years).

It's going to take some time to be competitive with those teams. The talent differential is enormous. There's nothing preventing us from being a very solid 8-9 win team as soon as 2013, though.

Not sure how many people were at the alumni game but John Hessler threw two balls during the game, very cool to see.
