I know we touched on this in a few threads, but Embo said he expects to sign 16 - 20 players this coming cycle. I was thinking we were going to get more like 15, so this interesting.

... Most of the staff already is on the road recruiting. Embree said CU likely will sign "16-to-20" players for a class that can sign in February.

Another good article by Kensler.

Kensler is pretty much the only quality at the Post. I actually look forward to his columns and blogs.

That said... I can't believe we're taking that many following Embree's comment that there would be minimal attrition this spring/summer compared to last year.

Maybe he thinks of "minimal" in terms of quality rather than quantity.

I thought it was going to take some attrition to get to 15.... losing up to 20 would be interesting.

must be including some grayshirts who will sign and then delay enrollment?
It would have to be creative as you suggest. He must anticipate more attrition than he is letting on to. I can't imagine too many high profile recruits want to gray shirt.

We need more attrition IMO
I think we are going to see some once fall camp opens. There are going to be some upper classmen that are about to be buried on the depth chart. They will want to finish their careers out somewhere where they can see the field.

I hope the incoming class is only 4's 2's and 0's. This way our tailgates will have a lot of a little to look at.

Agreed. It's going to happen, and usually while there's always a few 'expecteds', there's typically always those 2-3 'surprise' attrition guys that people didn't see coming. Hope for our sake we can get this more to the 20 side of things than 15. With the early momentum we've gained, we have the potential to get a class on board that exceeds expectations.
