Bohn Confirms: Students going to Las Vegas Next Year

So glad my last year at CU and my last year in the band are going to have at least one awesome tourney trip. The students made LA so much more enjoyable than I could have originally expected. So glad Bohn is making this a tradition.

Seriously, you guys better realize how lucky you ****s are :)

Going to be an incoming freshman. I've been going to games since I can remember and looks like I am coming in at the right time.

do they have band flak jackets.

Ya we are trying to talk the director into taking us to Autzen because of how bad USC fans are to visiting bands, however he feels that because of our Alumni base in LA we have to go as often as we can... Excited about the trip. Not excited about playing at the **** hole that is USC's campus.

The Band went to the Coliseum over a decade ago, and everyone reportedly made it out alive. The home-stay that year was in Vegas, btw.

It doesn't an extreme amount. I wouldn't be surprised to see all PAC-12 schools [strike] participate[/strike] /copy.

There are a lot more ways to get in trouble in Vegas than there are in LA. I see the potential for a lot of trouble. Hope I'm wrong. I know if I had gone on one of these things when I was in college I would have been a complete disaster.

So for the guys who went, how strict was the CU AD?

I went as a member of the band to the Pac-12 tourney, but from what I heard about the student side, the AD was very strict with the students. Obviously the kids who could get alcohol did, but I only heard good things from everyone who interacted with the C-Unit.

I am sure they will find a way to make it work in Vegas. Probably keep the C-Unit in boulder city and bus them into vegas for the games.

Not very strict. You had to check-in in the morning (never did) and at midnight (never did either) and nothing happened. Everything was pretty structured.

Wonder how they are gonna do it this year with the students being aware of the trip.

I don't see how things would be much worse in vegas than in LA.

You can get into trouble in any city. With the ridiculous police force in Boulder, these kids are all aware. Vegas shouldn't be too horrible of a problem.

Be sure to hit up the WBB games too.

:iagree:

And send some students to Seattle with the team. We used to do what we called rent a band in Salina. Got a local high school band, gave them CU t-shirts, taught them some songs and they were our band.

Are the men's and women's PAC 12 championship games not in the same place this year?
