Same high school as Keenan Canty and 2012 target Darrian Dyson. EB's cousin is the coach there as well.

Interesting production on these clips.

“Auburn and Colorado,” he said. “They seem to tell me what I want to hear and they want what’s best for me and they’re loyal to me.

“Colorado just tells me what I want to hear too. Coach E.B. (offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy), he said I’m gonna be the future at Colorado.”

We need to get him to Boulder sometime this spring or summer if possible. Hopefully the focus on New Orleans will pay off.

He is picking up more offers, but we are right in the thick of it:

"I like Auburn as well as Texas A&M an Colorado," he said. "Those are the three main schools that have really kept up with me the most.

"They message me and write me and everything and really let me know that they want me. Texas A&M and Colorado really want to get me out to their schools for a junior day or camp just to see the schools so I'm going to see what I can do about visiting those."

Defensive backs are going to be so important in the Pac 12. I like where this staff is concentrating.

Pretty sure 247 had a positive update on Ellis yesterday. Something wrong with my account right now, but I think we are in his favorites with Tennessee and Texas A&M. Would love to get an official visit here.

my gut says aggie... but between us and Tennessee... it will be us...they are a ****ing mess

He'd do well to avoid Tennessee. We fired our Dan Hawkins, Tennessee is only into year 2 of their version. Things sound pretty disfuncional there.

Yeah. Tennessee held onto Fulmer too long, had the debacle with Lane Kiffin, and then seem to have made a mistake with the Derek Dooley hire (who seems to be in over his head). If they weren't currently paying for 2 football coaching staffs while also dealing with the MBB scandal/penalties and Pat Summit's unfortunate end to her WBB coaching career, I bet they'd be making a change in football right now. Lots of transition and upheaval in that athletic department at the moment. Odds are very much against Dooley being the coach for any recruit's 4 or 5 years.

Even if he hangs on for 3 more seasons, he could still dig an Ole Miss sized hole.
