Cool find!
I grew up in Seattle, and Michael Bates was a pretty badass kick returner with the Seahawks and the Panthers...won an Olympic medal as a sprinter, if I recall.
Terry Kirby played for a while in the NFL, remember him with the Dolphins.

Good stuff, Leash.

There are actually quite a few names that registered for me. I looked it up and 11 of the 22 ended up playing at least five years in the NFL. Pretty good success rate.

Was Armstead's Carter team the one that won state and then decided to go on a Bonny & Clyde crime spree of robberies?
Si. I know at least one of them was going to Tennessee. They didnt beat Permian in the state final like the movie tho, they beat them in the semis. Believe they beat Converse Judson. They were loaded tho, quite a few went or were supposed to go to big schools. I dont know the exact number.
