Former NBA Ref Eddie Rush named Coordinator of PAC-12 Men's Basketball Officiating

In a related story, the LA Lakers have just been named Pac-12 basketball champion in perpetuity...

I think the philosophy is that it can't be worse.

Meh. The 12PAC bball referring was due for an overhaul. I imagine this is just step 1.

Bingo. Love the move (even though I'm not a Eddie Rush fan). He at least knows what the refs are supposed to hypothetically be doing. That already puts him a few steps ahead of some of the assclowns we had on the court last year.

It actually made the football officiating look competent by comparison.

I think my hope is that there will be many changes for the better. Mr Scott has quite a bit more loose change these days; is it too much to expect him to hire a little more quality with the extra cash? Maybe better referee leadership and/or training? Accountability?

I certainly hope this is a good move and that there are more moves to come.
