that is some ****** conference action right there. I forgot just how ****** the remaining non OU/UT teams were in that conference.

Thats funny, 5 teams not named UT or OU in that conference finished with 10+ wins last year. More Big 12 teams had 10+ wins than SEC teams.

ze cyclical nature of CFB will take hold soon enough.
Baylor will throw a tantrum like usual, but they will do what they are told in the end.
Baylor fan will be littering the internet with pronouncements that they willingly agreed to join the eastern division for the greater good of the conference. That division needed their elite program to balance Oklahoma like Florida State does Texas.

I give FSU and Clemson about a 1% chance of actually leaving.
Virginia Tech stays put right where they are given the ****storm of bitching and moaning they caused to get the necessary politicking to get into the ACC. The only theoretical way VT would *ever* be able to go to the SEC is if UVA can go to the B1G.

That ISU-WV rivalry matchup has Thursday and Friday night broadcast timeslots written all over it.
The Baylor-TCU game has some serious self important douchebag potential. "It's just as important as Bedlam and the RRS.
The attendence plans for both Texas Bible colleges is contingent upon having legions of fans from those B12 south teams on the schedule every year. Lol

i think you have to put OU and UT in different divisions somehow for the post Big XII to mean anything divisionally.

And you know that Big Brothers OU and UT thought about that. Politically, they're not state funded like the other Okie and Tejas schools. And competitively, it's better to keep them from growing too wealthy.
The only reason anybody is jumping conferences...$$$. Course, we left to join a more appropriate conference, we just got rich in the process.
Because they're both football-first schools in a basketball conference that acts like UNC is the center of the universe. This move would undoubtedly put the Big 12 as one of the 4 elite football conferences and meanwhile the ACC can sit by and still have its little tobacco road basketball klan.
Oh yea, and this would mean more money for FSU and Clemson.
Likely they will have about 10 million reasons a year. The Big XII media contract with them included is likely to be much richer than the ACC media contract ever will be. Also as Sacky mentioned it virtually guarantees them a place at the table if we end up in a superconference situation while the ACC and the Big East teams will probably be scrambling for a place to land. Clemson and FSU would be very likely to among those included in the final set-up but who wants to take the risk.

Hey Carolina, a bit off-topic, but were you aware that Swofford's son, Chad, was employed in the Boston College athletic department when BC got invited to the ACC? Explains a lot, doesn't it? Interesting that he now works at Raycom Sports, too...

That is pretty interesting about Swofford's son, especially how his son now works for Raycom and how the ACC cut a bad deal for their 3rd-tier rights. Hmm...
I just think the ACC is in trouble on the football side of the house, and the few ACC schools who are serious about football will bolt at the first good offer that comes along.
