Rivals report from the Air Strike camp in Dana Hills, CA last Saturday:

WR Elijah Dunston, West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade Chaminade is loaded with skilled, speedy players on offense and Dunston is one of them. He's long, lean but strong and doesn't get pushed around by cornerbacks. Once he gets the ball in his hands in the open field, it's tough to track him down. He had an outstanding catch against Mission Viejo that went to the 1-yard line that would have been difficult for even the best receivers to make. Dunston has offers from Colorado and Wyoming and if he keeps playing so well many others could come in.

Another Rivals article from back in April:

"I know that Colorado is rebuilding, that they have new coaches, so I wanted to learn more about them," said Dunston. "I visited and it is a beautiful campus. I like it a lot out there. I like the surroundings. I like the coaches and everything about it. Colorado is really nice.

He also reported a 10.6 split in the 4x100 relay.

Scout article from June 11th:

"He can really run," Chaminade coach Ed Croson said. "He runs on our track team and on the relay teams that almost won state. He's a good player, catches the ball, knows how to get open, he's going to be heavily recruited for sure."

Commitment to the Buffs first reported by BuffScoop and announced publicly on Facebook.

Definitely got wheels (Adam reporting 4.4 speed).

Amazing we didn't even know we offered these 2 and we just got commits. Nice work by Adam as Nik said earlier.

Welcome aboard Elijah-I think you might see the field soon!

New Rivals article on his commitment:

"I called Coach Bieniemy early on Friday but they had meetings," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver from West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade. "He messaged me back on Facebook and said, 'you better be calling for a commitment because we are about to have meetings on our [recruiting] board.'

I like him. Glad to have him. Nice to be landing some recruits early in the cycle. Always did hate the fact that summers were such a dry well recruiting wise during the Hawkins years

We've lacked speed at the WR position for so long, and this guy has an abundance of it. Will definitely lift coverages for this running game and i wouldn't be surprise if he's a pretty solid return guy too.

He'll need to work on his route running as he is not polished there at all.

Good speed and we need it, welcome. Maybe hes related to the dunston who played baseball, be a cool bonus.

Just watched his video and he is faster than anyone else on the field. Speed, speed, speed. We didn't get to see much else tho, nearly all his TD's were fly routes where he just ran by the defender. Hopefully he still has good receiving/route running skills. Does anyone know his level of competition?
