Buffscoop is reporting 2 new commits but I can't figure out who they might be. Anyone know if this has been reported elsewhere to find out who the commits are? Can't be talking about 2 TX OL commits b/c that's old news and this tweet came out 30 minutes ago:

TWO NEW COMMITS FOR THE BUFFS! - Head to Buff Scoop for details! http://t.co/O0O4xOMQ via @buffscoop #cubuffs #buffs #gobuffs #buffnation

I assume it is football and not basketball?

Not guys that were on the board's radar. Great scoop by AZ on this one.

I was hoping someone around the recruits Tweeted, or they showed up as commits already on some list or something. Damn-it's going to be a long 20 hours if a 2nd source doesn't show up. If I could ask one thing it would be what positions? I'm hoping for LB and WR

what if I found the info and I don't have a sub? the info is on a page I found through twitter for buffscoop. Is it ok to post here or should I wait?

Why are we taking unranked guys in a small class?
Embree told the assistant coaches at the beginning of recruiting this year, with the limited number of scholarships available, don't have buyers remorse. Only offer players that you really want. If a better player, later on, says they want to be a buff but we don't have room because of an earlier offer, dont regret it. We'll see if this is the case. WR is a position where I don't look so much at stars, rather measurables and potential. These 2 must fit those parameters.

Go Buffs.

I believe EB is the primary recruiter for both of these guys.

I get the sense with a bunch of our commits that our coaches are DAMN good at evaluating talent and getting in early on tons of great guys. I bet in the future (assuming some of these guys pan out as we hope) that when we make an offer, the recruits star ratings will go up immediately b/c they know our coaches know talent.

I get the sense you are placing way too must trust in our coaches knowing more than 99% of the rest of college football coaches out there.

Hah. Why on earth would you think that?

It's pretty clear that the recruiting analysts for the premium sites really like our under-the-radar guys. Not just the 2 WRs, but others. I don't have a crystal ball to know if that translates, but it's a hell of a lot better than if no one was saying good things.

I've got a schizophrenic mix of hopefulness and skepticism right now. What you'll get from me depends on which mood you catch me in.

Sure hope our coaches know what they are doing. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but only on field production will truly tell the story. We won't know for several years.

This ^^^

We can speculate all we want but what matters is what they do in uniform with fans in the stands.

Also with the number of WRs we took last year if either of these guys plays early it either means that they are ridiculously good or the guys we signed last year are bust.

What's confusing for anyone who follows recruiting is that we knew there were a maximum of 2 WRs being taken in this class. If those spots were filled in June, the expectation was that they'd be taken up by guys that half the Big 12 or Pac-12 were after. Dunston and Bobo look like fine players and they definitely were garnering interest from some of our on-field competitors, but this was surprising that we'd choose to end our WR recruiting this early with more under the radar types. Doesn't mean that they won't be great players and it does show how high our coaches were on them, but... it's surprising.

I love rolling the dice. I should share my stock portfolio with you. But Embo and EB are really taking a risky approach. Hope desperation has not set in....
