The school sent out a press release last night, and Ryan Thorburn just mentioned it on Twitter as well.

Thanks for everything Shannon. You will always be remembered for the dunk against Cal in the NIT game two years ago, and I hope you have a great finish to your college career closer to home.

Is it too soon to discuss how this affects our schollie situation?

Considering we've been speculating on it for months, no.

Odds are, the scholarship goes to Chen and we have it for a 2013 freshman.

Best of luck....that dunk was still one of the greatest slams I've witnessed...if anything I'll always remember his name & that play!

Once a Buff always a Buff!

Does he have 2 years left to play? Not really sure how the DI transfer to DII rules work with the RS and all.

If you transfer down a level, you are eligible to play immediately. He'll be a RS-Junior with 2 to play 2.

thanks for all the hard work Shannon, you will be missed. I still remember being excited about you committing after watching your highlight tapes, sorry that the knee set you back so much.
