Did a few of these last off-season just to judge where the fanbase was standing on expectations for the season and plan on doing them again this off-season. So last season, in a weak PAC-12, the Buffs finished 6th during the regular season and won the conference tournament. We lost three starters off of last year's team, but welcome in a top 25 recruiting class. There's only one senior on the roster, so leadership might be an issue, but we have a player who is projected to be an early entry lottery pick in next year's NBA draft.

Lots of positives and negatives heading in to the season. Does one side outweigh the other?

Since when was 3rd or 5th optomistic, we won the championship last year, I am going for #1 all day long.

3rd or 4th. And we won the conference tourney championship, not the regular season title. We'll be in the conference tourney finals again this year as well.

3rd in conference standings, win the tourney again.

I cant wait to see our shiny new banner in the CEC

Gottlieb

Interesting conversation between those two, I enjoy reading it on twitter.

Gottlieb is just bitter that we're in a better conference than okie st and rapidly becoming a better basketball school.

Gottlieb may be the biggest douche on ESPN. Which actually puts him in the running for biggest douche on the planet.

I'm looking forward to basketball this coming season. Let's review last season for the Buffs:

This was OUR first season in a NEW conference and that meant we were playing NEW teams every single week that we haven't played often. We were in the running for the Pac-12 regular season title and we beat the regular season champs at home in Washington.

Now this is our second season in our new conference, we will be more familar with the Pac-12 teams this coming season and with Tad's players. We will also have Dre who should have won the Pac-12 Defensive POY honors but was robbed. I think our defense will still be good but will Dinwiddle be the go to scorer? If that is the case, he doesn't appear to be the type of person who would leave town in a heartbeat so if we have the same go to scorer two years in a row, that would be awesome for CU.

And I'm going to say that after going through that transitional season with unfamiliar opponents and being in the running for the regular season title plus winning the postseason conference tourney, the Buffs should be a CONTENDER for the Pac-12 title so I chose FIRST PLACE!
