Brooks: Timing Of Facilities Announcement Uncertain

I am tired of the politicking on the facilities. Wonder if Solich is not coming through or if there are roadblocks with state politics. Frustrating beyond belief.

The rumors of announcement have been going on for a year almost. I'm beyond frustrated.

Bohn equals pussy. Big ****ing Pussy.

This quote from the article was my favorite: "We'd like to get to a situation where our attrition is not in that range. I don't have answer for exactly why that is, but it's certainly something we continue to scratch at and put together."

What a ****ing idiot. We've been ****** the entire time you've been here you moron. That's why we've had that kind of attrition.

Wow! What a crappy situation. I wonder what the "true" hold-up could be???? Assuming debt will be issued to finance the project(s), bond interest rates are the lowest they have been since I was alive. Somebody needs to start working OT and on the weekends to see this materialize.

We are quickly falling behind. Wake the **** up and let's get this underway. This administration is a joke.

I don't know, and maybe I am just spit balling here, but I have two ideas: move the goat game to Folsom and stop doing one off road games. You think more home games might get more season ticket holders? Nah, everybody loves the Mile High Gulag and roadies to the midwest....

MB is such a yes man....

Perhaps I'm being too optimistic, but I still expect the announcement in September. Sowing seeds of doubt seems like a way to encourage additional contributions. I can also understand why they'd be frustrated by attrition. Even with the poor run we've been on you'd think 30,000 season tickets would be realistic let alone 25,000.

If he's frustrated by attrition, then he and the administration need to look in the mirror.

As far as sowing doubt - that seems like an eminently stupid way to drum up more donations.

I wonder if the AD has bothered to poll the season ticket holders each year that either drop tickets entirely or downsize as to the reason why. From reading his comments in the article, I get the feeling he has no idea why they're getting the attrition they are. Maybe he just doesn't want to know why people aren't renewing so that he can continue to keep his head in the sand and believe they're doing all they can.

Here's some ideas for him:
- dump the CSU game at Mile High, or at a minimum, remove it from the season ticket package when the game is held at mile high
- bring back beer (or a beer garden or something for the unwashed masses that don't have club seats or a suite)
- improve the experience of getting into the stadium
- and maybe, just maybe, improve the quality of the product on the field. That starts with a commitment to winning, not just Bohn's usual "being competitive" line of BS
- understand that when you constantly do 4 for $40 deals that season ticket holders paying far more for the same seats are going to think twice about how they purchase tickets

I'm done with Bohn, it's time to move on.

I wonder if having an institutional commitment to winning and having a Juggernaut of a football team that is always mentioned in the top 25 might have an impact on reducing season ticket attrition?

I vaguely remember how much more fun it used to be as buff fan in the 1990s. Those memories are distant and somewhat tarnished by the rotten taste of 53-73 (.421) over the last ten years.

Nope. People come to games for the college atmosphere. A lively band, entertaining spirit squads and teams that put the "student" in "student-athlete" are what puts butts in the seats.

Agree with the quoted part. Makes me angry that I bumped my contribution with my season ticket renewal. I did so because the idea of the facilities upgrade was there. If there is not an announcement this fall, I will reconsider for next year. I am tired of the empty promises and ineptness of this admin. ****ing tired.

And have a program that does not have any off field problems or embarrass CU. That and break even dollar wise. Be a good little program.

And continue to be the laughing stock of the Pac 12. This is NOT the CU I know and love.

We are completely irrelevant at this point....was hoping the facilities plan was a step to get us back where we belong....oh well. Maybe I will become a ****ing TCU fan.....
