Fall Practices Closed to the Public

I don't have any issues with this. It's his call. He needs to limit the distractions with his young squad.

I'm glad he stepped up before practices started up.

I don't care about this either. He's got a ****-ton of coaching to do this fall and anything that could be a distraction needs to be eliminated.

Curious whether there is even enough media in Boulder to create a distraction. I could care less either way.

Were you around when Hawkins and Plati stirred **** up about the internet message boards being spies for the other teams? I think that was back in '09, IIRC.

Plati seems to create a distraction all by himself. Not sure why they let him comment on behalf of the program.

JMHO.

I don't really have an issue, but his closing practices in the spring kind of dampened generating more fan enthusiasm compared to the previous year. I think it kind of contributed to a lower spring game attendance.

The #1 question fans and opponents want to have answered is "who will be the starting qb?"

By closing practice, the qb competition will be subject to less public scrutiny.

Embree's strategy of maximizing his focus on coaching and recruiting players while downplaying booster activities and fan PR will pay off with some early season wins.

If the losses pile up before conference play, I suspect Bohn and DiStephano will seek to march Embree out infront of the camera, press and public with more frequency.

So many kids will be thrown into the fire this season...what Embree is doing is smart. Plus I'm sure people will still have questions about Yuri Wright's Twitter account.
