Kind of sounds like we were "late" to the party which is unusual for our staff-seems like we are frequently the first BCS school to offer. Come on Cabral and Tui-don't drop the ball on a stud Hawaiian defensive standout!

Seems to be a good year in Hawaii. Also thinking we will see two DTs in this class instead of one.

Latest Rivals update has him deciding shortly before his senior starts. Curiously, he was excited about the recent offer from Arizona.

Kind of a weird final 4 for a Hawaiian kid. Guess that SEC hype is continuing to work, and I still continue to be completely baffled by the apparent appeal of Clemson.

I caught an episode of some country reality t.v. show. The "bachelor" was a former QB of clemson and took his dates to a game. I clearly could see the appeal of Clemson from the pre game activities. Women there are beautiful, weather appears to be beautiful, and they even interviewed the coach and he was very engaging.

Clemson is in the ACC... for now.

fify

Clemson takes their football SEC serious even though they are in the ACC. Huge crowds into each game, facilities, etc. For a kid from Hawaii or some other place where football is a part of the culture it has to be impressive to see a place where football drives the culture.

Cash rules everything.

Theres no way Clemson is even close to following the rules.

It's a pretty nice place. Good atmosphere, but nothing that isn't matched by 10 SEC schools and a few ACC. Frankly, between South Carolina and Clemson, in my opinion South Carolina is the place to be in that state.

Difference is that in the SEC Clemson would be just another good team, in the ACC they can show kids that atmosphere like an SEC school and still have a decent chance to win their league every year.

As a team South Carolina is pretty comparable to Clemson but playing in the SEC they are most likely an also ran each year while Clemson is playing for a conference title and a major bowl.

Their recruiting implies that will be the case (whether it's clean or not), but let's keep in mind that Clemson only won their first conference title in 20 years last season and subsequently lost to a Big East team by 40 in their bowl game. Dabo is a passionate guy who many people like, but I'm not sold on him. He's recruiting lights out, but this is hardly the first time Clemson has brought in studs, only to fall on their faces with 7-5 type seasons.

If Clemson manages to keep this commitment this is a very impressive pull by them. Dabo is recruiting like we thought Embree and Bieniemy would.
