Really good get for the Furd. They might not have anymore Andrew Lucks running around, but that team isn't going back to the cellar anytime soon.

Yep, my previous hopes of a relatively quick decline are long gone. Not sure how great Shaw & Co. are with the x's and o's, but they are just downright stacked in the talent department. Pretty damn good for a school with few hot women and one of the worst fanbases in the Pac-12

IMO, Stanford has become Linebacker U. They are totally stacked this year.

For all the Stanford love, I see the 4th best team in the Pac-12 North, outside the Top 25, and seriously lacking in speed at the playmaker positions.

Same problem they had last year after their #1 WR went out. He was never more than a possession receiver anyways. Their TE's and running game made the play action game deadly. That, and Luck could fit the ball into very small windows. No game breakers outside of that.

I see Stanford 2nd in the North. They'll drop off, but I don't see Cal winning more than 7 games, and I don't see Washington doing much more than last year.

Their OL is going to be strong for years and years to come. Only a few teams in the nation will have an OL as good as theirs. They will continue to pound the ball. Their LBs are great. Does that mean Stanford is going to be a perennial top 2 North team? Nope, but I think they finish 2 this year in the north.

Only thing they lack is big time speed at some of the skill positions. Oline play will be strong but health has to be there, who the hell knows if it will be. I saw somebody write Luck looked like the real deal or an NFL qb the other night, hell, saw that 2 years ago. You could see some in his hs clips.
